Every ghost gets blinded by smudge sticks, including polter. But if u’re using a Tier 1 smudge, then sometimes they can js walk in ur direction by coincidence

im not sure if it was coincidence. I've been using tier 1 for a while and whenever I light it, ive always experienced the ghost running off. This time what happened was it had gps on our location, and when it got close i lit the smudge, but instead of running off, it ignored it, flung the doors open, and killed my teammate who was right next to me.

Otherwise it throws.

Remove all items from a room and leave a written book. It'll yeet it.

So if you have an inactive ghost and you need writing or uv for a door touch, you remove other objects It can interact with. Like shoes, cups, books, etc.

If it only has a book a door and a window to touch, you increase the chances it'll interact with those and no the items you removed from the room.

In this case: we wanna see if it throws a book that's written.

Remove from the room anything else it can throw.

The one thing that has helped me the most of finding a flow of preparation. While searching for the ghost room check what hiding places are open and checking for the bone at the same time. Now that I’ve gotten to where I sometimes need the ghost to hunt for me to find out what it is I plan where I will be standing while waiting for a hunt so I can smudge and run to a hiding spot just hide to listen to it. The preparation has helped take a lot of the panic from not escaping out.
