Ghost events are tricky sometimes, sometimes the ghost will appear transparent other times during ghost events the ghost will appear in its regular form but it will stay standing in one spot there’s also some ghost events that imitate a hunt you’ll see the ghost in full form chasing you but if the door does not shut it is not a hunt it is a ghost event if you do not get locked in the house during that time it is most likely a ghost event and not a ghost hunt?

If the host has Blood moon then regardless if others have it, game will act like its blood moon

The biggest problem with Deo is if you get the “ghost event” side objective and the ghost room is far away. Because the Deo’s will corner you very easily in the hallways.

Only tip I have is to know its disappearing pattern. Smudging helps if you get nervous during hunts.

If possible (and if the ghost room is close) I prefer to use ghost events to take ghost photos

Just think of it this way once you start experiencing nightmare the two evidences help you narrow down which ghost it can be and then you can identify it based on its hunt or behavior the same premise as zero evidence except you really get to narrow down the ghost because of still having some evidence

Well I recommended that the cheat sheet get a sanity widget and when they put it in it can help. eventually you get used to how much sanity training each map or difficulty takes from you and you kind of can either set up a timer or it just comes naturally in your head

Well the issue with insanity is it changes your starting sanity so a few things get weird.. and honestly the one evidence part isn't that bad once you've gotten used to ghost behaviors hunt speeds things like that because eventually you'll be doing zero evidence before you know it you don't even need that one evidence

I had some ideas for the game that could be fun

• More crouching hiding spots, maybe even vents (give ghosts the ability to dynamically crawl)
• Whole house events (all doors shut at once)
• Furniture isn't stationary :)
• Random interactions (holding a lighter by propane tank or a ball pops in the firepit)
• Communicate with dead teammates (or the dead in general) on the telephone
• Flashing Light (new Evidence Item that flashes quickly and you can see a silhouette in the flashes. Could be used to capture ghost photo)
• A Backpack to hold more items (lowers the max amount you can bring on a trip with of every item by one [i.e. normally you can have 4 lighters but if you bring the backpack, you can only have 3, max 3 flashlight, max one crucifix, etc])
• Ghost interacting directly with equipment (turns off the temp reader, flicker your flashlight, etc)
• Crowbar item (can pry a door open or a lock, one use for ever tier [i.e. Tier 3 = 3 uses])
• New random map objects that are locked and require crowbar (could incentivize use of crowbar before using to escape a locked door)
• Rare event that only some ghost types can perform (stealing bodies of dead players)
• Another rare event that maybe only some ghosts can perform (knocking item out of players hand, etc)
• Updated guitar sounds (because piano got them)
• Outline item / ping effect if dead teammate interacts with objects (easy to differentiate between ghosts)
• Allow dead teammates to interact with more things, but make sure it always shows the ping/outline
• Holy Water item (ghosts will avoid pathfinding through holy water, so it acts like a barrier in some cases but it doesn't last indefinitely so you must time placement)
• Ghost possessions (twins can perform a combo attack where one possesses a player to lure them and the other hunts, this would be very rare but more common on blood moons)
• Larger maps with extended player caps/requirements (small maps disabled if you have more than 4 players in a lobby)

Ideas for Media Tab Update

• Glitched creepy video if ghost is captured (rare)
• Allow camera and video camera to ZOOM
• Live effects when ghost is present (voices start echoing or become muffled and could be heard on audio recordings)
• Creepy talking sometimes if player picks up a ringing phone (can be recorded with sound recorded)
• Ghost writing can happen on the walls during rare occasion
• Allow sound recorder to record sounds in the truck that come from the microphones
• Jumpscares on video recordings (adds jumpscares and screams but only visible/audible on recorded media so it's not too scary for players in game)
• Thermal Imaging Camera
• Infrasound Detector
• Paintings can dynamically change (eyeballs move, etc and can be recorded or photographed for evidence)

It's a feature. Since they want the game to be realistic, when you light tier 3 smudge your character gets high, thus the lag

Still, communicating with players on spirit box, someone could think their friend talking on it is the ghost, as the spirit box is range based. For the flickers, it sounds like it looks like an event, which most players ignore as they prove not much help to finding the ghost type

if it blinks at a consistent 30hz it will be easy to tell it's not a ghost event. It would basically just be a strobe light. Also, communicating with teammate on the spirit box wouldn't be just like how the ghost communicates. It would basically just stream your microphone through but at a super low quality.

The flickering will always happen. The ghost silhouette can pass through similar to dots but it would cast a shadow instead of morphing the dots. I don't know how you think that wouldn't be easily distinguishable from an event. You know where you placed it...
