Makes no sense. Playing on the lowest difficulty, I place the book in the room the spirit is most active in, get hunted about 15 times (non exaggerated), spend 30 minutes waiting for it to write, it never does so I cross it out, and low and behold spirit book was one of the evidence.

This is how I did it (rolling for deogen). Sorry for the essay btw

Step 1: Bring the parabolic tier 3 and listen for the ghost. You’ll know its a Deogen very quickly because it will go light speed directly towards your position. Every other ghost will be opening doors and wondering around.

Step 2: Loop the Deogen in the first room to the left (desk and chair). If you’re lucky your secondary objectives won’t require going near the ghost room (incense, ghost photo, motion sensor, etc.).. I recommend trying to get the ghost photo before anything else since its mandatory anyways. So if you fail to do so you don’t waste time.

Advice - Don’t look for the bone. Its a waste of time and not a requirement. You also do not need maxed out photos or 3 star photos.

Try switching to open voice chat in settings when u apply it a bar under the setting will appear and u can test your mic volume through it and u can see if it’s picking up your mic if it does then I would leave it on open (would still be able to hear you over the r1 radio ) just also in proximity

The best way to find a Mimic (and the most consistent, particularly if you're new) is a mimic will always have The Gorbs (ghost orbs) in its favourite room

Just 1, I don't keep track of the cycle count. I basically want the ghost to prove it's not an Onryo by hitting the cruci with the candle lit. It becomes comically apparent that it is an Onryo when it blows out the lantern and your lighter a half dozen times in a row

In terms of DOTS in general, ghosts with that evidence will go in and out of a "DOTS state" when they'll show up. They aren't always visible
