Well they could have fixed things and gave those who had issues or missed out the rewards, but instead we are going to leave it on a botched note where people who did nothing get everything and those who did the event get nothing.

Leaving a lot of players who put effort into the game resentful at them.

Because honestly the best thing would have been to just put some lines of code in and bam everyone has the reward and trophy.

No they say "Event is over" and anger a good chunk of the player base.

Borrowing roomy's Disc to ask a question I know there's been updates and idk if this info is old or not.. Spirits when smudged (incensed) won't be able to hunt for 3 mins and if done during a hunt will protect you for 6 seconds but continue to hunt while preventing a second separate hunt for 3 mins. Is that still accurate?

yes but keep in mind that it can hunt 3 minutes after the smudge not after the end of the hunt, so if you smudge a spirit at the start of a hunt and it goes on for another minute it can hunt 2 minutes after the hunt end
