Hi everyone. Just a question I need answering between me and my friend I was hoping the group could give me some insight. Basically we was playing on willow street and the ghost was a banshee. We had a team of 4 people 2 of us inside and 2 was outside. During the game my friend was getting all the attention from the ghost. So we assumed he was the target. As it hunted. The ghost was after him he looped it around the table in the kitchen and lost line of sight with the ghost. And the ghost turned round and killed me. We are arguing at the moment as he believes he was the target and because he broke line of sight the ghost changed target to me. I belive that the target was outside and it was just hunting normally. Who is right ?

it depends on your favourite method to find the ghost room but i use temperature
if the breaker starts on, the ghost room cools slowly from a relatively very high temperature
it's a while before it's clear which room is coldest, especially if the ghost is a bit wandery
if the breaker starts off the ghost room stays super cold, and all the other rooms start warming up
ghost room becomes really distinct much faster
of course sometimes you get orbs or activity that makes it super obvious regardless but i find the breaker starting off very helpful

there is no way to distinguish hidden and irrelevant evidence, that's the whole point of hiding evidence

The only way you can throw ghosts out is if you get three evidences you know are not showing up. Then whatever ghost that is, it cannot be. Or on nightmare if you say don't get UV and orbs, ghosts that require both of those, you can mark off.

And you can only do that because they cannot be hiding both on nightmare.

Also mare ability is based on per person... and requires the mare to be close to the switch. So you should put a motion sensor down by it. Then just have everyone cycle a flick every 10 seconds if its there.

I did apoc 3 when it was easier. Its not hard with T3 paramic to find ghost. The issue is APOC 3 requires the photo. And ghost can reach you in like fractions of a second and it takes more than a whole second to smudge after photo now.

They do. The T1 is 3, T2, is 2, and T3 is 1 second cooldown on swap. This is BECAUSE the bug for T1 they kept players electronic occured when T1 cameras were swapped before 2.13 seconds. So they rounded up to 3.

1. Get good at ID'ing all possible ghosts in a single hunt, 2. Go to CWW with a high multiplier, 3. Run one hunt, doing possible objectives, 4. Circle ghost and go to next game. That's about as fast as an XP grind as there is, but I can't overemphasize how important step 1 is.

Well those are just incense but are the T3 ones. Its called looping, and there are guides for it. But make sure to tap your sprint. You only have 3 seconds of sprint and if you burn out its 5 seconds to recover. Where as you get 1 second of sprint back for every 1 second your not sprinting. So tapping and not exausting yourself is how you loop.

I just finished a game on nightmare, got 2/3 challenges got the ghost and photos on nightmare then at the last second when the doors were closing on the van the game disconnected and got i got nothing

Could anyone explain how the "Ghost Mist" event works? My group and I were pretty sure we got the event, but all clues led to it being an Oni.
I'm pretty sure we misunderstand how the actual event works, how it looks and how it sounds? We got a hiss, but can you get that from other events as well?
Any ELI5 would be greatly appreciated ❤️

i think the ghost event that has it walking into u also results in a hiss

looks like this, it is an event which travels towards a target at random, once it collides, it will make a sharp hiss sound. This is the only event which Onis are unable to perform. So if u ever see this, you can cross out onis from the journal.

The ghost mist event is when you have a flying mist ball go towards someone, then afterwards it will kinda of hiss at you. Onis are incapable of doing this event

imo, learn the organic way so you don't end up with big gaps in your knowledge. Knowing the possible 1-hunt ghosts is great for XP, but you'll end up being useless in a normal 0ev game
