I`ve always played solo, but recently i came back to the game and brought a couple of friends.. They were all old tibia players and were well familiarized to the game.
After i helped them with some better gear and gold to buy some spells, they started the task journey up until they could get a higher task, so we could start party tasking.
Just wanted to share some of the "struggles" they found (i feel like hearing from new players always bring a valid feedback):

  1. No health/mana restoration when level up.
First thing they mentioned as starting the game. Definitely missing some dopamine and a sense of "reward" for leveling. Probably too op for higher levels, so if that is the intent, maybe it could be some temporary feat for early levels, lets say up until level 100 or some reduced restoration like 50% of health/mana.

  2. Shared task progression.
We recently started doing some tasks as a party and the fact that it splits the kills kinda FEELS like an anti party incentive. Most tasks already feel too big to do, with the high amount of kills needed and making it take twice as long for a party feels really bad. We honestly felt like it was not worth doing it as a group and that would be better to get different tasks, solo.

There were some more feedback, but i cant quite recall them now. Anyway, most of what i can remember were complains on how slow the progression can feel sometimes, especially for party playing.
The game is great and i hope we can keep bringing new players!

@strange oriole with 1) I just disagree, maybe it's dopamine shot indeed, but at the same time is too OP.

with 2) it's profit to do tasks in team beacouse of:
a) they are easier because of high damage of the group
b) connected to a) it saves money
c) if you enable shared experience in your party then dynamic respawn time works - monsters will spawn faster what compensate the fact that you kill them faster and could break the respawn in team

even if it was only for early levels, like the perma "aol" effect until level 20
Also, i understand the cost reductions and whatnot. But i can assume, most our player base is from adults. Time is a valuable resource for us, as jobs and family are also a part of our life.

exactly... Medivia currently is easy so much. Tbh im against so much to introduce more simplifications. In last 2 years there was tons of smaller or bigger patches to QoL, factions, spawns, tasks etc to simplify and make this game easier - its enough.

Its not like 8.0 OT with exp stage where you have everything at your fingertips. The only reason for me why Medivia is not seasonal server yet is because most of balances based on low rate. Otherwise it would be like a 2-3 months servers where few guilds just come to make a war and leave.

Right now, there’s really nothing that encourages players to form parties and hunt together from low levels. Most people just play solo because it’s more convenient and being in a party doesn’t really offer any benefits.
Often, when a spawn spot is taken, players prefer to wait for the other person to leave instead of teaming up and sharing the area. I’m really looking forward to some changes that will finally encourage players to hunt together at every stage of the game but I hope it won’t come at the cost of making the game easier.

Dynamic spawn ^ its faster respawn with party members. But yes I agree exp is always lower than solo

What else could encourage players to team up?

  • exp bonus for party shared
  • dynamic spawn rate
  • safer = easier

I can't imagine that 2 players starting new chars will not team up if they know each other. Even if exp would be a little bit higher then the loss is not that huge to not team up. What else benefits would you like to be introduced? I don't like the idea of more free exp just for partying 2 players. Giving 1 full kill to task to every group member also seems OP.
