You prob have 100k+ stashed of some item that it trades, known bug.

Edit: Or actually I think that was that the window was just empty, maybe you have diff bug.

the only item i have a lot of is small explosion runes, over 170k of them

Yes, and small explosive runes are in this NPC's offer. This is a known and resolved issue, will be fixed after the next patch.
