Dont know if iam just very unlucky but so far i dont see any different @loot drops from rare / legandary monsters
Agreed, I would vote for option 3.
Option 2 or 3. The elites give diversity to the hunt and its not as boring. However on one hand it maybe shouldnt feel like waste to get these things. On the other hand, why should everything be good for everyone, i rather feel some elites should be a bit harder to give it some excitement. And as they are harder should give more exp or loot
Agreed, always when i see a juggernaut I think "this shit again, more waste, no loot and lower exp on my hunt"

Biggest complaint I've heard so far. They love the update but the ones with extremely high health pools are tiresome when solo hunting on EKs
Buff the exp and problem solved at the same time though, but yes, this update made me actually enjoy hunting… which, anyone that knows me can say is big lol
Everything is too new to form a clear idea. What I noticed in some hunts is that the xp per hour increased, in some moments and some hunts that I broke, I no longer break. SUPER POSITIVE POINT IN THE UPDATE.
But I really didn't see a difference in the drops.
There's more exp and less loot on ~~all ~~most hunts where elite spawns on avg. Unless you get juggers only, then ur exp is prob lower and loot ofc still worse than pre changes.

Edited: I killed 3x demon legendary elite and 3x shadow drake legendary.
Hellscourge (demon legendary elite) loot:
- one fire axe, one purple tome, one platinum amulet and 52 golden elite tokens
- one fire axe, 20 golden elite tokens
- fire axe, 40 golden elite tokens
Nightwing (shadow drake legendary elite) loot:
- one golden armor, one steel boots and 8 crystal elite tokens
- one ancient legs, 4 crystal elite tokens
- one golden armor, one shadowfall, 30 crystal elite tokens
Agree on that. I was back to hunt with some fun too. The only downside is no big difference on loot, as of no “new lootable” items from legendary monsters. Also not all have unique names / design.
However. I do understand this was first step, and see how community would respond to this. the next steps I hope they add some cooler loot to legendary.
Those items can be part of items to make a great item.
Let’s say they decide to add great shield to game and to craft it you need certain amount of items that can only be looted from legendary mobs
1 item of X legendary as example…
Or… maybe for an very cool outfit, those legendary mobs drop outfit part items like the ice colossus boss.
Its just rng and low numbers, its a 150% loot increase. Doesnt do much on low percentage items to begin with. I got lucky on a rare for example

Hellscourge is the legendary version it has 500% loot boost, but yes still low # and its rng.
In my example the increase is 500% in loot (legendary elite both demon and shadow drake)
I don't know, I feel like there's something wrong with the elites' loot because of the tokens, maybe the tokens end up influencing and reducing the chance of dropping other items, just speculation on my part
Ah yeah my bad read quickly but I think my point stands, 500% increase of items of 0.3% below doesnt do that much. What I really look forward to when an elite spawn is the possibility to get some juicy tripple loots etc to show of.

I definitely will say a loot increase would be nice for all elites. Not anything game breaking, even introducing a new drop 100% like a handful of gems would be nice.

this makes me remember those events with "increased loot ratio"
no one was able to tell the difference but i also see some of this Elites (including legendary) like a some type of gold sync... since u waste way more to kill Juggernaut and Legendary versions and they give nothing... but well idk

I am enjoying the Juggernauts, they reduce the spawn break.. it would be nice if the rare drops were weighted heavier to the rare spawn to increase the excitement of having them appear.(reduce standard creature drop rate to compensate)
One good option could be if elite spawn using tokens increase in 10% damage from party or only you to this monster, like how was falcon set before update

I agree that juggernauts can be annoying, they really can break the flow of a spawn if you're already on the verge of breaking, so after hunting a while the timings can feel very off in my opinion. And since the reward of actually killing them feels lacking, you would many times rather not have them.
This opinion may change with time, but having smooth laps once you break/almost break spawns are not worth sacrificing for a rare monster as it is right now.
If I would give some sort of suggestion to handle it, it would be in the lines of the original post.
Or possibly add more value for the tokens in any regard other than boosting spawn chance. For example having some type of shop that sells items/deco or whatever for tokens only
At least a buff on the skins, certain monsters we have no benefit from with the elites
