#Attributes and Properties

I know it was mentioned a long time ago that a rework of all items attributes and properties was on the to do list, and I think now is a good time to begin addressing that. So many items just make zero sense with how easy or hard they are to obtain in relevance to their item stats.

This is the only game I have ever played that you actually get better equipment and weapons from weaker monsters, some monsters you are able to kill extremely early on in the game. It just doesn’t make sense, you finally loot a weapon or equipment from a much stronger monster and it’s far inferior to a piece of equipment you looted over 100 levels ago.

You also have so many attributes that really are useless and can cost upwards of 20kk or more, this needs to be fixed.

  • Executor: Increasing damage dealt to monsters by 10% if they are under 10% 25% hp

The reason for my proposed change is that almost every monster a knight hunts is basically 1 hit at 10% hp, meaning the monster is dead with or without the attribute.

  • Haste: Increases the attack speed of your weapon Chance your next melee attack procs twice as fast (1 second for gladiator stance, 1.5 seconds without).

Currently haste increases your overall attack speed by such a minuscule amount that unless you’re hitting a target dummy, really you never notice it.

  • Fortitude: Increases your regen by 1 based on your health regeneration

This, same as perch meals, should heal based on your health %. Otherwise it’s arguably the best attribute from levels 8-30, then basically useless.

These are just some ideas, but really all items stats, properties, and attributes definitely need attention.

Should add in items with mana-drain resistance property as well. To be clear, amplify is incredibly good, mana-drain resistance is not.
If the item isn't already somewhat powerful for the cost, such as grim boots or grim legs, it isn't a property that is really added into the calculation of whether the item is worthwhile, even in niche places.
If you are thinking of slightly bypassing the mana-drain that a monster does because you want to hunt them, especially as a mage, it still doesn't make sense using items with this property because the values are far too low to even get close to getting a minimal benefit from using them. You won't get to 100% no matter what you do, and I find that a little sad as it would give certain items a niche to fill that would let you be able to reach 100% mana-drain resistance if you'd give up stats other items on the same slot could provide, be that damage, resistances or utility.

To be clear; it isn't useless, it just isn't something you ever think about when you choose an item. Similar to the lean attribute in that regard.

I think it would be better if we could just remove mana drain entirely from the game. Is there any real reason it exists?

mana drain is supposed to increase waste for spellcaster vocations or force spellcaster vocations to hunt with blocker. nowadays monsters drain too little mana to achieve these goals and the only thing is does it create frustration and prevent eks from casting spells. Perhaps giving eks passive bonus of full immunity to mana drain could be a way to solve this.

I guess that makes sense. I just feel like there are other methods than mana drain that can be added for that purpose.

I did some more testing and actually I was wrong. It was planned and thought it made to the game already but it didn't. It will after the next patch. Properties not working as amplify magic shield, of course. It did work against mana drain attacks but not any damage received when magic shield was active.

There are plenty threads about attributes and i doubt there is sense to create new, until devs say yes we are going to rework attributes and stick official thread up

Feedback accepted!

The feedback has been accepted and will be added to the game as soon as it is possible. Thank you for your feedback!

Is this to my actual proposal that propertied and attributes needs to be redone or just to amplify magic shield?

Both.

whats the difference between brian's suggestion for haste and swift striker attribute 🤔 haste will actually count as a normal melee attack and be able to proc attributes?

Yes.
