Trying to improve my neutral game and adapting. Having a hard time knowing when to approach and what to actually do when I approach and how to keep my advantage state up.

When are you typically available?
Usually after school, which is about 4PM-8PM CET. I would prefer the weekends, since I'm available anytime on Friday after 4:30PM CET, Saturday after 12 PM and Sunday any time.

How long have you been playing the game for?
I've been playing Ultimate for around 40 hours now, going my first tournament in 2 days from now to hopefully get some advice from non sonic players against me.

Ok so from what I saw, you lost for three main reasons. You attack in the same way, you were defending in the same way, and you messed up spin dash/charge pressure by double jumping into it or double jumping before it

not super happy about this one, for one I still haven't studied the roy matchup and two I choke so hard whenever I'm down a stock

From what I’m seeing you commit too hard and too often with your b moves and smash attacks. I feel like every sonic player starts here though since I do too. What you need to do is start using less b moves and less smashes in general. Try instead using the a moves and movement to compensate.

So from what i see

It has three minor reasons and two major ones

The minor reasons are just you roll too much, use too many smash attacks, and air dodge in the wrong times.

The major reasons both have to do with your spindashes

Or charge

So the first major reason is that you commit to every spin dash/charge no matter how far they are. You have some idea on how to cancel it but to do it well do a double jump immediately into a dair.

If they know that you’ll commit they’ll wait to punish you no matter what

Last is you also don’t rly know when to engage and when not to

Like you can charge way more sometimes and you don’t

My run at swm 2. My matches are at: 11:50, 36:30, 1:32:43 (awesome ending), 2:13,27 leading me to 5th place as one of my opps dq'd. I'm super happy with this
