#Feedback on reads

So there's a concept known as telegraphing
Which is moves that signal another move is incoming
You did a lot of high jumps before returning to stage
Signalling you were going to land
That's why the u-tilt hit you
oh ok
I then punished it normally with the u-air
Watch for telegraphing in my moves
When we fight
Better, but notice how when I u-tilt, I do it from under the left platform
So my positioning gives clues too
okay
I'm going to use baits now
So you see how my f-smash almost caught your return to the stage
I was banking on your recovery range
Consider my own recovery range: it's quite limited
So if someone is on a plat
Their only options if you're below them
Is to try to use an aerial or run away
alr
You want to use up-smash for reads
Rather than f-smash
As it has better coverage
Use baits, jump ins/jump outs when someone is recovering
To force them to burn options
Which reduces their choices
And makes reads easier
lol
xd
k
As it seems to be set to SBF at the moment
BRB 2 seconds
So notice how some of my f-smashes came very, very close to hitting you
So there's another aspect to reads - timing
Sometimes you need to hold an attack for longer
Or for shorter
Depending
Pick the most appropriate one for the job
So notice some of my reads go the wrong direction
Those situations are known as 50/50s
Sometimes you will read the wrong direction, you just have to guess
k
So I u-tilt under plat because it protects me from some of the possible attacks you can do
So I know to spot dodge your grabs because you telegraph it by running up
Too many full hops
k
So I also observe what patterns you repeat
So you're doing less to read where I am
And sort of
Spamming PK fire and aerials where you think I might be currently
You see how I run in to bait a reaction, pull back, and f-smash?
Right I'm gunna switch to ness
And do reads with Ness instead
Mostly the bat stuff
But also the PK lightning causing you to PSI magnet off stage and do a bad recovery
S lightning negating your lightning recovery
i gtg now
