i play joker maybe i can help you!
its 10.45 pm for me right now i need to sleep, we can play tomorrow
ight cool
@split ermine you good now?
in 10 minutes or so?
ok
yo
i can make an arena
you got vc?
id prefer text
oh ok
not really i just try to punish bad spacing
first of all i think you can try to make me approach by using your spells
most will try to bait you out into committing, so often times they will let you get your buffs if your lucky
id say try out to not commit too hard but focus on making me approach you
we can talk about that after i see what you are doing
hmm
i feel like you couldve used the zapp spell on side b a bit more to keep me away,
and once you have your buffs like accelerate you should start your pressure, dont just let it run out
ok
when you were on the ledge u did lots of neutral getups and jump so that was kinda predictable, you can also try rolling or a reversal from ledge
everytime i try to roll many jokers just run back and grab
well but you see if you never do it i dont even have to be ready to punish it
fictionally if i know for a fact that you never roll i can always play in a more risky position which gives me higher reward against jump from ledge and neutral getup, like when im in the air stalling, waiting for you to do smth
while im in my full hop you could just roll behind me
i see. ill try to mix up more then
you cant really react to that in the lag anyway but its still smth important to look out for in "real" matches
i think while you are using your spells more now, you still give up pressure too quickly
when im just standing away from you you dont really do anything
like either use even more spells or take center stage
but when you did use your side b more i couldnt do much about it that was good
i think you used more spells that cover space this time, not only the buffs
like which spells are good for that? kaboom? zap?
kaboom is the fast flying one i think
just generally you want the fast ones
i dont know the english names too well wait a sec
oh so sizzle and sizz
well all of those are good
snooze just gives you a different situation as i will probably either shield it or jump over it
so you can try to punish me for the option i choose
the others you can just more or less throw out
what about neutral B?
you mostly want to use the uncharged variant
then follow the projectile without overextending
ok
the simplest Gameplan you can have for hero is like
enemy is far away -> get buffs
enemy is mid range -> keep them away with unreactable spells
enemy is close range -> try to get back into mid range,if you have buffs you can go into close quarters tho
once the enemy has had enough of you keeping him away he will probably use more risky options like dashattacks and you then punish these hard to get your kills
just a very simple gameplan
is midrange like my side b or dash attack range?
it depends on the MU
it usually is the range of the the furthest reaching unreactably attack of the enemy
for you that would be outside my dashattack range
online your safe range in mid range is further behind tho then offline, because you need more time to react to things
Once your enemy has adapted to this very defensive playstyle, you can mixup between actually using a spell and waiting for the enemy to rush you down and either wall him with your sword or try whiff punishing you
hmm
where do you look at while playing?
at the opponent
did you notice anything in the last game?
no
i only won neutral with grabs the entire game
there are two main things that lead to that
number one you were always shielding after landing
number two i feel like you did see what i did but not really watch your opponent/react to what he is doing, when i whiff a grab you should be able to punish that on reaction
ok
lets play a game where you really always watch your enemy, for hero its a bit harder than for anyone else but dont lose your focus while reading the spell menu
give me a sec my mom needs me again. I get what your saying and maybe im not wacthing you all the time\
for training you can do stuff like say in your head what the enemy is doing like:
he shorthopped
he airdodged
he shielded
he whiffed a ghrab
stuff like that can help you to not lose focus
ok ill try that
do you have any questions left ?
not really
lets do one last game
what did i do wrong
i feel like you could watch out for your enemy more while in disadvantage like try actively avoiding them
once i hit you you rarely do anything to get back into neutral
can you elaborate
sry i dont have time right now i have a vod i can maybe answer you later sry
ggs anyway
yeah ggs
ok well i just looked at the vod and noticed you were often opening the spell menu in close range, so in a an unsafe situation
u tried to do more reversal on ledge instead of jumping all the time
which is good
but the next step is to not randomly select your ledge options but to choose them for a reason
because when im standing there in shield and youre getupattacking even tho i might have not been ready for that my character literally shields
