If the items are duplicated, that is considered like cheating or exploiting a limitation, which is usually frown upon by communities.

How can this technically be stopped?

"A Player" drops the item in "B Players" town and now items are saved in "B Players" town.
Than "A Player" reloads his save-file back to get the dropped items again. They are two separate save files.

Cheating is "acting dishonestly or unfairly in order to gain an advantage".

So, this is cheating because it is gaining an advantage against others with best tools.
Tempering console date/time to reach 10-day login trophy in 3-6 days is the other form of cheating, acting dishonestly. I'd like all cheaters to be block at least from Q's Discord because Sony won't do anything.

I hope TTC never makes into PC, if it does I hope no cross-play. I cannot imagine the cheats and mods by PC Players.

Most players don't deserve a drop anyway. So why should you just give away something like that. As I said, I've never seen anyone drop anything randomly. Except Void Energy which probably every player already has and can't be picked up anymore.

Ever heard of Savewizard? Theoretically you could edit the TTC save file with it and for example edit tools with infinite durability or Jetpack which is infinite. Or add EXP points, Freedom Dollar, Coupons everything to 99999+. 🤫

Ran into more item dupers today.
One of them had a trick I hadn’t seen before though.
As soon as they entered town they went to the administration building and were then 2nd on the leaderboard with over a million toil.
They unlocked the coupons dispensed monument at the same time.
I really hope they can sort this stuff out soon.
Having a pile of boxes to put in the bin is one thing but irreversibly cheating a monument and having their name on the leaderboard forever really sucks for a town.

What are their PSN Names? I am asking this because I will remove them if they are in our PSN Group and also I want to block them from my Personal PSN Account.

You can DM me the names or disclose in here so that maybe "admins" will also block them on Discord, that's their call but I'll definitely remove any of them from our closed psn group to keep our veteran's group safe.

Well, there was a reminder of the terms of agreement the other day so they could be preparing to deal with it in some way and giving them a chance to stop.

Plus the town save files being saved on the owners machine rather than a server probably makes it harder to prevent save manipulation.
We know they are aware of the issue now so hopefully they can figure something out soon.

Here are a few examples of what I have seen during my trip through countless cities. Nothing of it is dumped but simply collected. So there is no reason to whine about it. Whoever disagrees should stop playing TTC or play OFFLINE and not tell other players what to do. Thanks

Leaderboards on this game don't matter it's a game about helping others not being number one at anything that's already a sign you're in the wrong mindset for this game.
If someone drops things you don't want, throw it away for the monument don't complain about something that literally cannot be fixed unless they removed offline entirely. It's like dark souls players who down dupers even though every single one has exploited at one point or they are mad because they can't figure out how to do the simple tast themselves. I had someone try that to me today and I just threw it all in the trash bar two paints I didn't have
