I've been working on a resource pack for TFC for a few weeks now, and I thought it would be great to write about it here, maybe more people will see my work

I'm glad to announce that the first version of my resource pack for TFC 1.20.1 has been released! You can download and use. I will also be glad to receive your feedback and screenshots. You can also report bugs.
Now the resource pack is available for 1.18.2 and 1.20.1.

In general, the resource pack is almost ready, I did almost everything I wanted, among the items and blocks, everything is ready, except for plants, gui are ready too, but among the entities, not all textures are ready, about 50/50
Therefore, I'll upload the resource pack to Curseforge within a few days, and post the link here

pack is really awesome overall but tbh i dislike anvil a whole lot, the fact that they're made of very different contrasting lanes seems very off for me

that texture honestly might need just slightly more noise below the black line, but overall it's much better than previous version simply because it doesn't make literally ~10 strong contrast drops. Feels much more like cast metal, unlike just random "shiny-ness" of prev one

tbh you should focus on finishing and polishing the pack first, and then porting, yeah

Porting to 1.18.2 is easier than improving all the remaining textures in tfc. But, in 1.20.1 some textures, it's just a gray texture that is colored in the game, this allows you not to make 20 different kinds of lumbers for example, But 1.18.2 doesn't have such a system, so it takes time to port. It's easier anyway, though, because with the remaining textures that I haven't done yet, it's mostly plants, and it's hard to make them.

A lot of people are still playing 1.18.2, so it's important to have textures too, and given that it's mostly easy, it makes sense to do so.

Perhaps you forgot to install faithful 32x32 because many textures from the original Minecraft are improved by it.

New resource pack update is already on Curseforge! Added new textures for carved and glowing pumpkins from Firmalife, and added a texture for beach grass from TFC.

And added texture for fruit trees from Firmalife!

I've been loving this resource pack, it looks gorgeous. I'm using a combo of TFC with Create, and unfortunately the Create blocks look terrible in comparison now LOL. But everything else looks soooo gooood aaaaa

Thanks, by the way, I was thinking about doing a resourcepack for Create after TFC, but of course I can't make any guarantees and if I do the textures for Create it will obviously not be this year, it took me a few weeks to do the textures for TFC, and I only count that if I've been working on them all day, and I do textures in my spare time and I don't get anything out of it, and even though the textures for TFC are basically done, I'm now working on the textures for the TFC addons, and there's still a lot to do.

Well, and I would advise you to subscribe to my CurseForge, because if I make textures for any more mods, I will have them in my projects on CurseForge. Anyway, I don't plan on stopping here and I'll be working on more textures for different mods, but sometimes I'm not in the mood to make textures, so I might not do anything for months.

The torches become 16x16 when turned on because you forgot to install Faithful 32x32, so the appearance of the torch takes the texture from standard Minecraft, and standard Minecraft is improved by the Faithful 32x32 resource pack, I wrote about this on Curseforge
and yes alabaster blocks probably look terrible, I might fix it someday, but I can’t promise

Maybe in a few weeks, or a month or two, I'll continue working on the resource pack. I do this depending on my mood, and I still plan to expand support for tfc addons someday.

But, I am glad that the main mod is almost ready, but I have no plans to refine other plants (maybe I will only improve the agricultural ones), it is difficult and impractical, in the time I would have spent on plants, I'll be able to completely make textures for a few addons.

Well, the weight of the resource pack is 19.3 MB or 16.3 MB, depending on which version of Minecraft it is for. Textures take up a lot of memory. 🤷🏼‍♀️🌚

I think it's possible to get back 2d watermelons and pumpkins if you delete some file from models folder, you can experiment with that. But, it is very important to find a specific file that is responsible for watermelons and pumpkins, other files are very important.

this is really strange, because there is no such thing like "canola plant". "canola" means canadian oil low acid (because the plant canola oil is made from contains really harmful for our health fatty acid, so they made a new variety of this plant with low content of this fatty acid and they named it - canola). and well, the plant canola oil made from called "rapeseed" or "brassica napus" in Latin.

Health bar and food-water bars are kinda deformed

other than that the pack is amazing, when i saw it actually includes beneath and firmalife i was positively surprised
