A lot of the things I liked about SFC were mods that aren't even updated to 1.20 yet, so it's not fair to say I liked the mods in one more than the other

Like I was saying earlier, Move Plus (lets you climb 2 block tall ledges while holding the run button, lets you leap when pressing run and jump at the same time), Effective (lots of new effects for water splashing, waterfalls, screen shake effects, fireflies), Presence Footsteps (makes walking sounds a lot more detailed), those are a few mods (that haven't been updated past 1.18.2) that I enjoyed
As for the ones that ARE currently compatible, I really like Corpse (makes a corpse where you died with all your items that doesn't despawn until you pick up all your items), Better Foliage for Forge (adds more leaves onto the sides of leaf blocks), Rubidium Dynamic Lights (self-explanatory: bright-looking items and mobs light up their surroundings, similar to Optifine), Rubidium Extra (adds lots more settings to the Rubidium menu, including more settings for Animations, Rendering, Weather, Sky, Toast notifications, etc. I tried it, and it's compatible with Embeddium and Embeddium++), Sewing Kit (adds needles and sewing to the game, making leatherworking more involved and advanced), to name a few
Rubidium extra is already in
Rubidium Extras is already in, but Rubidium Extra is a different mod
Embeddium++ comes with Rubidium Extras, but not Rubidium Extra
iirc their only conflict is that they both have their own FPS counter setting, but I don't think enabling both breaks the game or anything, but rather just layers two fps counters on top of one another
The extra settings are all worth it imo
Also, I was mistaken, Corpse is functionally the same mod as Gravestones, which is already in the modpack
But if you want, I can change gravestone to corpse idk.
It's up to you, I only mentioned Corpse because I didn't want my items despawning. Gravestones is totally fine too, it does the same thing

If you wanted to make tfc mobs jump higher you'd probably have to make your own addon, I don't think anyone else is doing it

so it had a slight different clor than all of other wooden items

And try to make them the same color palette as the TFC boats in vexxels.

I hate that mod because it's cluttered, add nothing useful, too much color, and just brain aneurysm.
My take is that things like coordinate should be outside the F3 menu.
F3 should be what it's made for, a debug menu.
Xaero minimap does that well allowing to see your coordinate outside of F3.
which is what most people use F3 for anyways.
Honestly it feels a lot more organized to me than the the original f3

I have it so it picks out some specific colors that I think would look good from the normal boat texture and then place them in their appropriate places on the ship textures
There's a tool in python from the pillow library that allows you to manipulate images and their pixels

For voltworks i will have to choose between one of the two systems
i think having create with tfc is cool especially for the trains and stuff but the new system does interact with tfc stuff nicely

TFC mechanical power is a much simpler implementation of mechanical power, not necessarily a bad thing but means its totally incompatible with Create.
The mechanical-powered devices in TFC won't work with Create.
You mean, they can't interact? But you can technically play with them both installed?

The options I have is:
- Making a simple block that could allow transferring the two type of mechanical power
- Remove the TFC mechanical power entirely
- Maybe reimplement all of the TFC mechanical power stuff but with create in mind.
The last option would require us to code all of that shit.

I like the 1st and 3rd options, the third one would be more seamless but it would take way too much work to make i think

Because I'm not giving up create, but I do not want to give up the kind of fancy tools the tfc mechanical power may offer.
The only good option I can honestly see being possible is recoding everything.
It may take some time, but I don't want to just give up everything because tfc devs decided to do a completely entire different system.

Patchouli and Create really didn't like getting updated
The rest caused no problems though
Create addons also shouldnt be updated
More progress will be done once Firmalife, Immersive Petroleum and couple of other mods are updated and works in 1.20.1.
So it's not dead, but I need these mods to be sure what I'm doing.
Also this small break will just help me from just being burnt out. I've been working on this non stop since 2 years, lol.

That is not possible because it cant know what mods is removed intentionally and what needs to be updated
because if i added that it would sometimes makes mods duplicate

I don't know how many people use controllers for minecraft java
Adding the mod is still a nice accessibility feature, it will still work for people that don't use a controller.
controllable is pretty well made.
If that's the case, then I will try polishing configs before i send any to you (like with what items dynamic lights recognizes)
But most mod config changes are only affecting my controller and gui (the steam deck has a small screen)
Most of your config should be welcome, unless it makes the game unplayable lol
For the options, these will have default but only will be set on first launch
so these won't be ever be overriden

Only mods I won't add:
- Better Brightness Slider: This seems to be op and remove the point of torches, but considering its very easy to have infinite gamma even without it, I don't know.
- Canary: Didn't do enough testing to know how much it break the game
- Configurable: Causes weird issues, but I'm not sure if it even do anymore.

I downloaded better brightness when I was still looking for a dynamic lights mod. It does help when I'm playing my steam deck in sunlight though.
I just use canary because I heard it's a good optimization mod. It doesn't cause any issues for me. I just enable it because it doesn't hurt
Configurable isn't very useful for most mods, because it doesn't recognize most of the config files for many mods, so I have to change the configs manually anyways. I just have it installed just in case, but it probably doesn't make any practical difference either way.
I think that would be a lot more friendly to players who don't know that you can disable it by unchecking "custom commands"

I'm not sending it because I don't want to affect other people's gameplay with my custom configurations. I'm particular about how I configure my settings, and I'm also playing on a steam deck with a smaller screen and lower specs than a PC, so those settings would just get in the way for everyone else. If I were to give my custom configurations for everyone else to use by default, I would at the bare minimum want to polish it first by playing on a computer for a while
I'm just going to backup my configs next time before updating

I changed the map colors to vanilla instead of accurate, I disabled lighting, I moved the minimap to the bottom left, but most importantly I made more categories for minimap entities and changed the dot colors around

It's basically a portable handheld PC that's pretty much a nintendo switch on steroids except it's not a console and it's literally just a pc

They give you almost full access to it. You can easily bypass the "almost" part too by typing in some commands in the console
And it has a super in-depth customizable controller configuration menu
It was made with both no-controller-support steam games and non-steam games in mind
The majority of games that don't have controller support can be played on steam deck by making custom controller configurations

i just started and this similar crash happened 5 times, also when I left clicked the firestarter in the quest log, which I assume should open JEI with uses

Hi, have any1 tried to set up a server on this modpack? I wanna play with friends so might use some tips fo example how much ram does server needs or which mods aren't needed on server
so I can set this up soon but basically ideally, all the mods will be installed and you wont have to delete any mods manually.
yea there doesn't seem to be much integration implemented, I realized there is no way to start Create. I'll probly wait till the pack is more fleshed out

I didn't quite understand how to install this build? Is it possible to download all the resources for it somewhere, and not the installation archive for the licensed launcher? I don't play on a license
What launcher do you use? Just know I never finished this project so I can't recommend playing it in its current state

I am honestly just looking for a pack with TFC + most of its add-ons for 1.20
Well I guess this pack does that but then it doesn't offer anything unique.
You can probably look for any different pack and it'll do that.
I'm trying to build something more unique.
I'll be interested to see what it becomes when it gets closer to finished!
