They tried vaulting classic and replacing it with Phoenix and Evolving. They made Phoenix the default and a bunch of people stopped playing so they reverted the change. Should have made evolving the default.

I agree evolving should be default but BB are all about Phoenix so that’s why I think atleast make it week on week off so it’s not just always phoenix

More players play classic, that is why it is the default. I don't agree with it but that is what their data tells them. I question how they interpet the data and how many of them are repeat players. Not like we hear a ton about Classic map matches here or on socials. It's perplexing.

I think that the smart thing to do would be to take the current collective community temperature. Let's pit all of the maps against eachother, fairly. Let's also be honest with ourselves. Big Box needs to focus on the demographic that brings in the most money. I would speculate that newer players buy more skins, but I don't know.

So, how many people play each mode is less important than which mode generates the most money.

I think Phoenix is the most popular mode. Evolving is glitchy for a lot of people. There’s hardly any pop for me and a lot of friends on the weekend because of the shitty war and legions modes. If Phoenix gets vaulted every other week I might as well quit playing Pop.

Evolving being glitchy is part of why classic is where it is, it just runs better.

I only play Phoenix these days. I take the weekends off. Unless it is Metro remix.

I really struggled to find any enjoyment in legions stronghold this weekend

I did play a few today. I actually did have some fun but it was 100% teammate related.

The stronghold at sandbox is in the ground and barely visible. So when the loot drops it is inside the cement pillar. At least you get a shiny gold gun.
