pretty sure its the skins
are you saying they are back loading all the skins outside of the games directory?
they had an issue where skins wouldnt load. i dont know much about files or anything but i think it would make sense to have them load there, keeps them from not being found
along with this, you cant find the skins in the files anymore where they used to be
That is ridiculous why put it in some arbitrary place not associated with the game. This folder is reeking havoc on my system.
again im not 100% sure but thats my theory. i havent played pc since i lost my base station
I am going to delete it and see what happens
deleting it did nothing bad I still see all skins but I have 15 gig free now anyone else who sees this I have seen no problems from this
then i have no idea lol
its slowly regenerating its definitely the skins cache, as the popped in from blue the folder got bigger so anyone who wants to data mine go there for it but honestly who cares all the skins are retextures anyway.
let me check if i can even find it
THERE IS A BIGBOX FOLDER ALREADY IN THE FOLDER
every store banner, spray, calling card
if you ignore the unity folder, theres another folder that has everything i mentioned. so there are 2 folders
thats what Im saying there is the unity one then the BigBoxVR one
yup
that is so goofy
This is the path that almost everything on your PC for games saves its appdata to. This is normal for just about every game.
%appdata% is a common file place on your pc for backend hidden saves, nearly every game saves content there or at least your save files.
I imagine theres a unity folder and a BB folder for oculus and for steamVR
If I recall correctly, this used to not be the case and only shop banners, calling cards & sprays were cached in appdata.
Complete speculation here but following the removal of raw skin files from the PCVR files, I guess they now just stream everything about skins & cosmetics.
Its so weird to scatter everything around then to just keep it together. Don't have another game that has this issue without manually rerouting it.
