no recoil is not a bug. its just useless since the awp is a one shop gun, you gotta move to reload anyway. adding recoil when scopped is just wasted effort
What could be done is second shot accuracy delay. But people do are able to fire the awp incredibly fast are so rare that concerns about it are basically irrelevant, also if someone is good enough to rapid fire with an awp they are (or will be if the awp is nerfed) good enough to beat the bulk of players with any weapon.
You can go from firing your weapon to building in the correct direction, in the time it takes an expert awper to hit their second shot?

I'm not big mad about this, I feel that the game would be better if quickscoping accurately couldn't be faster than about 1000ms, but I'm not going to die on that hill. I think if someone can 2 tap you with an awp in a very short span of time (meaning the second shot would have to be a quickscope) they deserve the kill. By being aware, utilizing cover, and moving erratically you can reduce the number of times you get quickly two-tapped down to near zero. Plus, I want this to stay in the game because it's so fun to do 😅
I mean fair, one of the things I've been practicing is moving erratically while shooting, one noticed that myself and a lot of other players have the habit of standing still to shoot.
As for deserving the kill, I feel you there. When I get killed and I feel that it is the result of excellence on the part of other player I'm usually more impressed than I am frustrated.
The only times I'm genuinely frustrated are when I die in a way that wouldn't have happened if it weren't for something beyond my control happening in a way that I feel it shouldn't, like picking up an item with my non dominant hand instead of grabbing my gun or a teammate playing in a way that is counterproductive in a nonsensical way.
Exactly part of the problem here... it's possible to shoot, throw the bolt, and shoot again at the exact same spot in 1 second.
It's impossible put up a build in the time between first and second shot.
Nope, being 2 shot in 1 second by a bolt-action rifle just is total BS.
There are plenty of people that can fire bolt action rifles faster than once per second.
I'd like to see that... and for real, not in movie magic.
I've seen 2-3 seconds per shot with accuracy, but that's with a bipod and laying prone stationary.
No one two hand holding, standing upright, is going to be doing accurate, bullseye, after bullseye hits with a bolt-action rifle in less time than that.

Nice try, that's a low caliber (that's maybe a .22), light trigger pull, not even using the trigger finger, holding the bolt, and short range.
Not going to be possible with a .308 Caliber like the AWP

You said nothing about caliber, you've moved the goalposts. Besides, since when are the way the firearms behave in this game supposed to be accurate to reality?
