To little ole me???
Gonna be tough to do. Might be possible. The terrain part is the hardest part to replicate. Can kill a bunch of budget just making the dang ground 😆

*Also, thanks to @empty sage . We all know that to do this, it has to be on the snow map. He measured it out, and its the biggest template. And is actually bigger than the main Pop1 map.

I could be remembering wrong, but if it is the grass template you're going to be short on space.

Oddly enough.....I started building the Tower a few days ago.... not sure where the ultimate end point will be, possibly blow it up, knock it over, redesign it, build out the inside....anyway, been spending a bunch of time going back and forth between the maps taking measurements and replicating it inside my space. Not sure if that helps or not.

Great..... then articulate the point

Sandbox doesn't give you enough budget to do the whole thing. You'd have to simplify it so much that I likely wouldn't be fun anymore.

I have already suggested, as others have that doing the complete map is not only impossible with the budget we have but also pointless with the map we already have. But knock yerself out kid.

So, crazy… yes!

I have the highest enthusiasm for this plan. Can't see anything that could possibly go wrong. What a great idea. Goosebumps a plenty. Don't listen to those naysayers. They don't have the resources you have. Focus hard on it. Keep it a secret until you finish. Just let us know when you're done and then you'll show them!

Your buildings are simple and elegant and inexpensive. I believe you can build a great version w available resources. Even if your version is smaller than original, if you stick to the main plot, it will play great. Giver!

Or fuck the plot and giver anyway.

I think one of the problems you're going to run into is the way the main map blends meshes and offers items in the distance as low polygon representations.

In Sandbox, Shapes don't have the ability to render themselves in a lower polygon form when they are far away from the player. The prefab assets do. This means anything you build out of shapes has to be rendered in full resolution anytime they are within view of the player.

I think that even if you have the budget and you recreate the map you're going to drop a ton of frames trying to run it.

If I were you, I would consider doing smaller rebuilds of specific areas. Perhaps as Sandbox matures we would be able to combine them, but that may be wishful thinking.
