#Making a case for Rerunning Limited-Time Solos

Could also make for a fun SGC if that would be more appealing to the devs. Solo Showdown playlist :P
Solos came and went so fast I don't think most people even knew it was a thing before it was taken away.
I mentioned to them that there should be a way to set global settings for all the maps in a playlist if desired. I want to make a solo playlist but would need all the authors to publish a copy of their map with the maps set to Solos. Which some of us including myself are already at 10 maps published.
It would be cool if map makers could setup a few alternate sets of rules. With the default being regular rules for the masses.
My new map Banana River is great with swords, grenades and RPG's for example. It would be great if people could just select that in a drop down list.
Hard to discern if you’re making a case for who/why/what/when of people that don’t have the game or self interest in a game mode.
If you just want the mode I get it. Others have mentioned this over time.
If it has to do with newbs than solo would prolly make retention look worse than ever.
A newb jumping into this game and trying to play solo would be rough.
Think solo que desires, retention, and enjoyment could all be better enjoyed if there were a squad mode that you loaded in solo only.
Play solo style if you want. Squad not around so don’t trip on a triple stacked team. Community vibe like the old days. And newbs learning from getting educated or even just trying to follow someone with elite movement skills.
If only the dev would react on any feedback and give any valid reason for not implementing anything like solo queuing.
But they prefer to don’t spend time on needed things instead take away as much as possible and make very strange menus.
Tried solos only to find out it seemed like people were on team chat and observed them cooperate to hunt down other singles before they came after me.
The solo mode currently , they’re bots - and they do res each other too , but that is different to what is being talked about above
Hmm, I am speaking of the same one they are, not the bot version.
I'm not a huge fan of solo's as I like the social aspect of the game, but the best argument I've heard in it's favor is that there are a lot of people with a headset who don't speak English. They would be more likely to play Pop1 if Solos were an option. No one wants to hear their teammates yapping at them in a different language.
That’s valid. Never heard that point
Lol, almost makes it an accessibility argument for the linguistically challenged. 😁
To be fair, Solos would be a much more convenient and accessible mode.
No need to talk which rules out people who have difficulty speaking or are mute, or may speak in a different language.
No need to bring around friends who can work with you in that case.
No need to even chance the random queue. You won't get put into a two-person squad at lower count times. You won't be matched with people you can't understand or squeakers.
That's all aside from people who just want a lone wolf playstyle.
I spend all day at work talking with just a 20min lunch break - a want to play pop one but I don’t want to talk to people this means I have either sandbox builder or bots - I would personally welcome Solos as a valid gameplay option / the problem is , is the player base already too thinly spread as it is, for it to be viable
