[SGC] Pit Stop

Pit stop is a symmetrical competitive map.

It's themed as a luxury truckstop/gas station with a large store and not just one, but two Pop Chicken's built into the building...oh and it's on the moon.

This map was a lot of fun to play; just needs to have something with the loots or whatever in the middle (less loot maybe try grouping stuff different) 👍

Thanks! Yeah I'll try to reorganize things so they aren't groups of groups like you were saying in game. Hopefully that will help with performance.

I had a lot of issues with that on the horse things on my carnival map; each one is 94 or 96 shapes. At first I had like one group for the head, three per leg (one for upper, one for lower, then grouped those two up), one for the body, etc then had all those grouped items grouped; If you have something that's all set can just select it and repeatedly click ungroup with it selected till it breaks it down all the way then group.

Could also try replacing some of the ammo loot with shapes on the shelves (like have a few out in front that you can grab, but ones behind it on the shelf would just be like orange or blue boxes or something

Good Idea with the ammo crates, I'm curious though if they are that much more expensive than a primitive, they're basically rectangles with a special texture on them. 🤷‍♂️

Idk maybe if a dev reads this one day maybe they can weigh in on the best way to improve performance without just removing objects.

I don't want to have to redo the shelves they took so long lol

I've just been placing shapes like "okay i can place 3 of these and have it add .01% of budget or i can add 2 of this thing and it adds .02%.."

I tried that too, the first shelves I built sent the budget way over 100%, the weird thing is it's only 86% budget now. I assumed that if you stay under budget you had a pretty good chance of not having performance issues but I guess it's just a guideline.

I updated the shelves to have less loot, it seemed to help the frame rate issue for people. I’ll have to tweak the spawn points to avoid spawn killing but not have the ghosts be able to go all the way in the building.

I just checked this out, can you update the Game Rules and set the Voice to Team.

Once the rules are corrected we can add it to the SGC Entries Playlist!

Also, the road leading away from the Truck Stop was amazing, I loved how the semi is zooming off into space 🚚✨

Thanks! I wanted it to look like a truck stop got teleported to the moon but everything still works the same somehow. I'll change the voice chat rules before I go to bed tonight.

If you have time after the play test, let me know if you have any specific feedback to improve the gameplay.
