very not a fan of skills being the make or break aspect of pvp

#

I'm never a fan of getting stuck inside the Cent or Oz loop but at the same time I also dislike it when I get stat checked by a skill that does more than 5k% in 1 hit ("pvp scaling")

I still do believe that PVP needs more incentives.

I do not know whether or not we get new players, but most people who play are returning players, vets, or long-time players who do PVE primarily.
You won't like this statement @earnest orchid , but I have to ask if just improving the systems, stats, dmg modifiers and how (Nukes) in PVP would be enough to entice people (or more people) into PVP again?

I personally don't believe it would, and incentivizing the playtime would make people play more. Just like PGR giving people Black cards, Summon tickets, mats, etc. for dealing (mostly enjoying and playing) their events. not the best example since this game doesn't have PVP included at all.

Maybe League with their Point system for playing & progressing in rank and getting rewards for it (idk if LoL Even does that anymore). Again, Just ideas on how rewarding people for their time would incentivize and encourage players towards playing more PVP, especially if PVE Gets stale.

And, maybe for the first Post-rework season, It should have some PVP/PVE Related rewards *(be it some more sages, TnS, Scrolls, or even Enhancement Amulets if KoG went the Over-generous route, or just costumes or MW tickets, etc)*Based on wins, loses, Rank Reached, players in specific Rank beaten, etc.

Again, I worry wheter or not NA even has the population to have a PVP Renaissance spring, and I believe that most people in NA wouldn't want to touch PVP with even a mile stick, unless it's just AFK Farming Fighter Pots. (Thus I agree with Xiva & Elsword's Statement on Getting Rewards based on Winning)

wait did the awakening debuff from eye reach her? because that hitbox would be complete b

Nope. The debuff bar only has the one box for Undying Flame proximity.

# stray wyvern I still do believe that PVP needs more incentives. I do not know whether or no...

This topic is very subjective so if people believes something differently, then by all means more power to them.
I am not here to brainstorm or dispense plans on how this game should be run, it's simply not my job. But if i got something on my mind i will still share it.

At it's core, Elswords PVP is good, it's addictive, The genre Elsword goes into is fun, and not many games offers it in form of an MMO.
Unfortunately there are too many factors that makes Elswords PVP worse which i stated in my text up above.

People engage/don't engage with PVP for different of reasons. In my opinion the issue doesn't lie on the player base, but on the game itself. It is KoG's job to make sure content is enjoyable, otherwise people won't be interested, in other words, don't hate the players, hate the game.

Look at old Elsword PVP, all items were removed, and that didn't really fix PVP at all. Even if PVP got a slightly more fair, new content took it's place and made PVP worse anyway, and doing long combos isn't really as necessary now as it was before either, depending on the class and or weapon, you can choose to wait for enough MP to 1shot your opponent.

In my opinion, PVP needs a complete overhaul, give each class their own "PVP Only Skills" and leave the PVE Skills alone so some classes won't get screwed in raids or vice versa. PVP gear should only come from doing PVP content, there is no way raid weapons should be allowed in PVP period. Heck. Some characters command attacks are so weak they are just feeding MP to the opponent.

Possible PVP rewards could be seasonal, like collecting PVP exclusive idles or fashion.

old els pvp, I do recall is being rather crazy too, Though not overly relient on your gear. but still, crazy regardless.
hell, if i recall, when items were in pvp, there were still some workarounds be it skills, actives, etc. but ye, not a full fix.

#

Still, I do sought to see a full overhaul, I just don't know what it'll take to presuade KoG into doing it. Would it need to be some monetary incentive? Some full pressure/ another protest to get them doing some action?

and I'll say that imo, I do agree that Elsword at the core is a pretty darn fun game. it's just the systems on top of it, and way that it's managed that just taints it.

They balanced the fun out of the game and now any time something to gets to the top it feels bad since that thing will be the only op thing

#

old pvp was definitely a class check bc YR could literally run around for 40-50s if you killed her and just have a res back up again

#

classes were still unbalanced its just that gear generally wasn't enough without some form of skill behind it

#

now its a class check and skill barely matters if at all

#

aes back in the day may not have been the STRONGEST but starting a match with basically a full mp bar was still beyond broken

I do remember a strat was to use the Code Nemesis NPC Title, blanking on the name, with Yama Raja since it would immensely buff her Braveries, Falling Dragon in particular, and let her use it. Other classes couldn't make the most use of it in PVP like she could. Raksha 1 into Raksha 2 into Steel Body for damage and Power Stun, Convert + Energy Absorb if needed for max orbs, Falling Dragon to kill.

#

Unmanabreakable combo too ๐Ÿ˜…

Soulless Ego's the title name.
Nowadays it's just for pot farmers or derankers to lose more quickly with.

#

Yup that's it!

#

Buffed up your skills levels based on the Tier, and iirc Bravery got +4 levels, and since levels did not have a hard cap, you could see something like a level 28 Falling Dragon, only possible with the title and Skill Ring. Maybe even higher

earnest carbon

Skill levels are more ancient history than Apple's NPC title.
Too bad... I think Soulless Ego's skill damage boost was made obsolete with Guardian of Elrianode and Freed Shadow.

The biggest issue right now imo is the command system since that generally determines who starts with the upper hand. Super Armor accessibility is unevenly distributed in certain moves that make them far too good to a point they become nearly unpunishable. I am a firm believer that most super armor from commands should be removed from PVP only unless it's something that takes a noticeably long time to set up such as Nova Imperator's flamethrower >>zzzZ. I actually think commands need to have a PvP tooltip since most of the newer ones are designed for modern PvE mobility which is fine. However, they are are far too good in PvP as of right now. There are also the cases of certain attacks with excessively long hitstun and/or lingering hitboxes that need to be looked into. The command system determines who will likely start with more mana first, which then becomes a snowball of a problem on top of skills with excessively strong utility or damage being used at a low cost, which is already another problem that I'm sure has been stated regarding PvP already.

also can we change CS ? skills should not be able to punish you after you've mana broken them or gone invincible yet CS needles just stay tracked on the character and give her free dmg and a free catch if u try to get out of it. energy needles was given hitstun on every hit despite it being removed from most other tracking skills which makes no sense, make it the same as everyone else's

Elsword go from Action RPG PVP like fighting game to Who have the more super armor/largest hitbox or home missel skills. In the old pvp that's don't exist(When I say old, I mean REALY old pvp. When we don't have things like Reaper tittle, secret armor skills, and transforms classes who break for ever the PVP. Like CBS and Crimson Knight....)

Hello im Necro-ing

#

So recently the +11 SoA event and the probably less impactful CP Jump Event clearly took a dent on the interest of PvP at least on INT

#

I have been easily noticing more variety of players and bigger pointer for the population of PvP, easier accessibility to Ranks

#

the higher ranks becoming easier to achieve, or at least less time consuming just means a broader population filling in the slots that allow more higher spots to exist, thus making it easier

#

This is unprecedented, I don't remember something like this being the case on any given season for the past at least 6 seasons

#

So there is a case here to say that, gear accessibility is correlated to PvP in a big way

#

Considering this event did not hand any kind of PvP gear, it's the fully advanced weapon full stop what entices people to actually try and play PvP at this point

#

You can make a case for the titles but really I don't think i've seen as many people who have no idea what they are doing (and die in a single combo since they don't have Sparring Armor) in PvP with Natural Flow on so that's clearly less important on the equation
