#9% Polarize top vs 10% Polarize top

Like should I go out of my way to actually purchase/get a 10% one? it doesn't seem worth it right, esp since I didn't had to pay for the 9% lol
I don't think the 1% diff is a big deal but if you are going to purchase pieces, you should get 10% continuous damage
You'll definitely want continuous damage instead.
You can try to sell it on the board to see if anyone will buy tho
@fresh hill @serene peak thank you so much so continous damage is superior? how does it works?
Found a response apparently: cont dmg is pretty much like this. For example u cast skill that deals 1000 dmg, and ur cont dmg effect is 10%. Then right after that 1000 dmg lands, the enemies will receive another 10% of that 1000 immediately
sry me stoobid me dk what 1000 x 10% is equal to
so continous damage > polarize?
like crazy better?
It's better because not only does it do more than pola, but it's less diluted
You can get pola in many places: Ibs, synergy, crimson, collection, artifact, etcetc
got it
But continuous dmg only has tenebrous armor so far in na
is it worth 2 tene 2 crimson for dps?
or is it better 4/4 tene, also sorry for going in a tangent
ben's explanation shouldve been explained better tho
and yes, continuous dmg is much less dilluted than pola, and picking pola on tene top is sub-optimal, and there are many sources to get polarize anyway
aside from that, it works nearly the same as pola but without the downside
and having 2 different stats is better than having 1 of the same stat since its additive rather than multiplicative
@teal flicker thank you soo much!
Both are fine
2 tene + 2 crims gives you that extra pola boost
4/4 tene is stronger in the long run, but is also ridiculously expensive
I made this copypasta just for posting whenever a certain someone said pol>cont dmg(but they agree now that cont is superior kekw)
Maths:
If you have 0% of a dmg stat then you have a 1x multiplier. So lets assume you have 10% polarize from other sources as a base, that would be a multiplier of 1.1x or 110% of damage or 10% more damage;
Case I: 10% polarize on tene which would a total of 20% pol which is a multiplier of 1.2x or 120% of damage or 20% more damage
Case II: 10% cont dmg on tene which would be a multiplier of 1.1x and we already have another 1.1x multiplier from the base pol, so the total multiplier would be 1.1*1.1 = 1.21x or 121% of damage or 21% more damage
As case II has a higher multiplier than case I, we can conclude that cont dmg > pol
@wet skiff cont dmg is always better than pola except when pola is 0->10% in which case cont dmg is equal
the general rule of thumb in elsword is that 1% of two skills is better than 2% of one stat
due to how they stack multiplicatively, meaning the 1% of the second stat also increases the 1% bonus of the first stat
