iirc that video was posted in the official forums like a decade ago & the only thing i can think of that might be an issue would be the bgm
if enforcement is going to be taken to the point where the majority of content you're removing is posted without ill intent and in any reasonable sense harmless, imo either the rules or moderators' interpretation of them should probably be reevaluated.
on that note mee6 is constantly flagging people left and right for saying things that aren't even restricted ingame and leaving us to figure out what effectively harmless word is considered not ok for discord.
i get that these are put in place w good intentions, but in practice wat you're accomplishing is just pushing discussion outside of official servers & towards servers that u have no control over which leads to the stuff you're probably trying to avoid like the younger folks being exposed to bad influences

I can bring up the rules being reevaluated along with your mentioned concerns but cannot guarantee they will be changed as they are also agreed upon by upper management.
In-game censor =/= Discord censor, nor was it the same as the old official forum censor. Many of the flags tend to be actual swears that have not and never have been allowed, or an abbreviated/alternative way of typing them to prevent people from using it and just easily bypassing.

i think having an enforcement policy that drives folks away is a legitimate concern when u r dealing with a decade+ old anime game being marketed toward a younger impressionable audience that are inevitably going to be playing with much older & often maladjusted folks

Realistically, if we were to remove the censor, would it really keep/bring people here? The answer is no. People have requested changes to it and in many cases we have, but it neither brought people in nor kept them. The same argument can be said for people leaving. Keeping it or removing it or changing it won't make people leave.
Like I said I will bring it up but cannot guarantee it will change similar to before.

Even if certain 4 letter swears are "common" for younger people to say, it does not mean it should be allowed. For the most part, the bot is not banning people, and the mutes don't last longer than 30 minutes unless manually done so

#code-of-conduct Mentions no Alcoholic/Drug references, and what were people doing? Making references to Alcohol and Drugs. If the only way to stop them is to constantly warn them or just censor the word, the censor is the better option, cause how many times do I need to tell people to stop doing something before I have to boot them?
