like my take is just i agree it feels bad + prefer the game as it was b4 -- in practice the 100ms tax makes reacting harder and also redefines some previously punishable/reactable things as safe (e.g. in any interaction, the reacting party that previously had X ms to react to get favorable outcome now has X-100ms to react), but ultimately reacting faster still gives u leg up over reacting slower and imo is just that old ppl need to relearn the interactions and accept that a lot of the "cool" stuff that was cool bc it needed tight reactions is just no longer possible aka changed in2 being pure prediction/callout
