optimal is the mp cost + crit, to get your nukes out quicker.
if you're reliant on commands, combos, you can experiemtn with Command damage on another duelist set to see how it works for you.
Don't expect amazing results, as this point is about fitting your stats around your playstyle in the long run, so don't take this setence as gospel.

(28.57% percentage decrease)
the efficiency is at 100% as well
(Guild +5% (doesn't affect it apologies), Pet +1%, Circlet +10%, Collection +5%)
If you were to apply said stats with the .4 multiplier from each one it'd be
5-2, 1-0.4, 10-4, 5-2 = 12.6 (added together) which, =/= 15

First there was season start making everyone start at E, with almost insta matches from 7 am until reset; then there was the Dignity Stone socket change which would've forced people to lower their MPR for actual crit

so, that's another thing that's up for discussion.
IF we take any enhancement, there's gonna be people that will just "haha, i press 1 button and you die."

It's pretty impossible to reach a true "balance", while there is an argument to be had some classes will just do too much damage too fast, other classes are just unplayable/at a severe disadvantage if they don't have access to higher enhancement weapons
Another thing is that given the nature of 1v1, matches are pretty much set in stone once somebody gets caught twice or just right after they escape skill
From the people I've talked to, very few if none are interested in that type of content just because of how repetitive and predictable it becomes once you know the class matchups
Heavily normalized gear just exacerbates those matchups even more
It's just a tough mode to even try to balance around
Too many variables get into play that will make some classes gain more advantage over others
Imo you either commit to full on restrictions (taking in as many variables as possible) or just leave everything as is

I think them adding more elements definitely didn’t help over the years as well. New classes, new force skills, mod skills, etc.
It’s like having a bunch of tangled wires and you know you gotta untangle them but that’s hard so you just buy new wires but then those wires get tangled but untangling them is hard so you just go and buy new wires

I'm still up with the idea of giving everyone normalized, fixed gear, it would at least make balancing slightly simpler.
Because if everyone has the exact same gear and same stats, then you have 0 worries about gear.
now, what would that lead to?
some classes completely die because of the lack of high end gear, like Minerva.
but the thing is; because now there's no disparity in gear, you're now able to balance said dead class around this change, because the number is not gonna change.
Likewise you can also nerf classes that still do exaggerated damage with the new change of fixed stats
You can revolve the damages around this number without concerns because it's a consistent value, as it's not gonna skyrocket or plummet; it's an unchangeable value. Easy to work around with.
the problem then becomes a matter of class differences instead, this class has too much big of a hitbox;
too much super armor, too cheap of skills, too much delay on a tenacity, this character is heavily mobile while this other is very slow; things like that. That'll be the complicated part to balance
But at least you remove one variable from the equation
Even if there's multiple others, having fixed gear is still watering down the problem a little bit, best to at least tear down one variable at a time than to juggle around with them all existing.
the only thing that stops this from happening is:
1: ppl will complain about the work they did on raids to get the weapon even though there's only like- 90 players who actually PvP out of the thousands that play the game
And KoG will agree with the ppl just because that means money for them. (Ppl enhancing pve gear to get into raids to then enhance the wep to then PvP)
2: KoG gives 0 craps about PvP, they don't even give it separate values, the PvP values in descriptions are just a multiplier placed on top of the PvE's value, it's not actually separate.
So who's to say they'd care about balancing numbers after introducing said change.
They don't treat PvP as a separate mode. If ppl want to only play PvP then play PvP, get PvP stuff out of PvP'ing, perhaps bring back enhancing the wep through PvP materials like old sparr gear did- no, they don't care.
Cuz again, forcing PvP players to PvE brings them money.

where it's still PvP but in that mode you'd have fixed gear.

Make the gear ceiling so low that people can just hop on an alt and lose out on little to no bonuses, since some classes will absolutely serve 0 purpose with no gear they can just hop on a class that does benefit from those settings.
Talking like no artifacts, rare forces only, promo costumes only, accessories are fine since champion accessories and rof + rings are so as well

So, after taking some time to discuss with a player who does PvP a lot(gastan), I've come to the conclusion that Duelist Gear/Duelist + Violet/full violet and ANY weapon will be allowed for these reasons.

Restricting the tournament to just one specific weapon will make it harder for people to actually join. If they do not have said specific weapon ready for PvP, they will most likely just not join.

Restricting enhancement level is also a problem because as I stated before, people have already +11ed their weapons. While it's true that I COULD restrict it to void, that WAS an issue during the void weapon only tournament.

If I restrict TOO much, certain classes become unplayable and other classes reign supreme(Example: Redheads).

While yes, allowing any weapon with any enhancement level will result in some people doing the classic "haha I press one button and absolutely wreck your health even though you were obviously winning this fight.", that's far less of a drawback than the former because people will still join the tournament for that.

The point of this tournament is to get people to join. As I stated before, the more people who join, the bigger the pot of KC becomes.
