#Party Queue & Monster Card Improvements

A problem that is plaguing the community would be the inefficient queuing system. It is not fun to run the same dungeon each day when you want to do a different one (eg. 12-4, 13-2). It becomes very frustrating when one lacks the proper party to even survive. This hinders progress with titles, accessories, and quests. In the past, Elsword implemented a system where NPCs (Lowe, Lime, etc.) would join players in dungeons if they could not find a full party. For example, if 1 player was queuing for a dungeon, then 3 NPCs would be enlisted to help them at the end of the wait time to make up for the missing members.

I propose that a system similar to this should be brought back involving all Epic NPCs as well as Monster Cards. When past the expected wait time for a queue, a new, optional button appears (next to wait button) allowing you to start the dungeon with 1-3 NPC/your chosen or preset MCs. This system works for all dungeons from Elder-Tirnog, Secrets, and Heroics. Excludes Drabaki and Normal mode Raids but not Story Raids.

Monster Cards gets a new system, removing it from Consumable Inventory into its own toolbar. Monster Cards only need to be obtained once (unlimited use), within the collection-like system, but extra copies can be used to level them up. Using them in dungeons helps them level up the most. They start with your stats, which can be increased as they level up. New Cards (mobs/bosses) can be added for Elrianode on (ie: Hennon, Sentinel Commander, Asella).

In dungeons, Epic NPCs/Monster Cards teleport to nearest enemy and defeat them before moving to the next. Pressing the 7 key will make your assigned fighter/s stop attacking, based on party member assignment (ie: 2 player parties select/have one fighter each, while the party lead is assigned the one fighter for 3 player parties.) Only Epic NPCs have unlimited health, but their stats cannot be increased. MCs resurrect after 10 seconds if dead. All fighters receive ally buffs and do not KD enemies.

the npcs would need a serious update then since in their current state they're way more of a hindrance than help

True, indeed. I would hope that the amount of stats of theirs we could increase we be all of them per level up, including damage and action speed being increased to levels up to twice of our own. This is definitely a start, but it can be hard to visualize at times which is understandable.

I just believe it is a way to improve two systems and make one more relevant for those low-powered players who could use assistance. Without having to wait in queues forever, or beg for people to join your party list, of course, while those are still alternatives for players to use. I would just like a more proactive method of playing the game since the CP requirements gets pretty janky real quick and I don't like standing around waiting in rest areas.

it's not just stats, it's skills and how they play too

they're based around s1-s2 gameplay, and even the skills our playable versions have are worse since they never got their updated versions

plus, last time we had an event featuring them....everyone wanted them to be gone...they kept knocking enemies down and made you deal less damage

And yes, this is an optional thing. I rephrased myself in the original post to make this more clear for everyone. There would be the start alone button (Confirm), and the Wait button, as well as the new button asking if you want to start with Monster Cards/NPCs. You would pick, or already have a preset picked and then begin the dungeon. That way people who just want to solo can still do that or continue waiting.

I would also like to expect the Monster Card fighters to resurrect 10 seconds after dying, and have unlimited lives.

To clarify, for this idea, I was thinking of some like the El Search Party Collection system for the cards, where they are laid on a slotted background.

They are organized per region, but can be reorganized based on things like stats, most used, etc. Each character has their own list of collected cards throughout their journey. Whether this should be an account-wide or per character thing is up for debate as there are pros and cons to both.

When you are ready to select them for a dungeon, you would go to the same screen, or you can have a preset ready for less time.

i mean maplestory has something kinda like that
what they do is they give every card that you pick up a random set of effects related to the specific card alongside some generalized good effects
you can then slot one of them into this system that will slowly drain away the longer you play in order to get this card effect as a buff
you can stack up to 3 of those effects at the cost that every new card makes the system drain faster
once the system drains away i forget if it goes on cooldown or if it just resets daily or if it has to regen but basically you cant use it anymore for a while

as a secondary effect all of the cards are organized into different sets with small fixed set bonuses for just having collected them in the first place

or a specific species of mobs with their variations (think the different kinds of eaters being their own little group the life and mana eaters from hamel and the ones from 12-8)
