I find vault hunters is a really good modpack for 1.16.5 with lots of grinding and exploration. It's mostly about running procedurally generated dungeons (or "vaults") and levelling up to unlock new skills and abilities, and has many popular mods (botania, quark, waystones, etc.). It's also made by the popular youtuber "iskall85". but it can take between months and years to complete and you need at least 8GB ram allocated and a good computer to play.

You require an already uploaded export file to upload a server pack!

  1. Make the server pack by zipping up the required files by selecting the required folders & files. Don't include modloader files or the minecraft server jar.
  2. Go to the Files tab on the project.

I want zombies to be able to climb the walls of our bases just like in the famous World War Z scene. I currently have an 1.18.2 world, upgraded from 1.16.4, and I really want it to snow or for there to be seasons. I haven't really found a snow storm mod, so I guess I'll either stick to Serene Seasons or Snow Real Magic. Problem is, my base is in a Savanna biome, and I don't know if it will snow there too, considering it's a rather warm climate. And I'd like to be able to remove the mod at any time without issues. Any tips? Will either of the two mods work in a Savanna or even in the desert?

How to **manually** install a server - **On your own PC**
  1. Check if the modpack has a server pack, if it does: use that and skip below.
  2. Go to the Forge website http://files.minecraftforge.net/ and download the Installer for the forge version the pack is using.
  3. Run the installer and choose Install server. Do not install to your desktop. Also do not install inside a OneDrive folder.
  4. Run the server using the forge.jar. A file called eula.txt will be generated. Open it and change eula=false to eula=true
  5. From the Client; Copy the mods folder, config folder, and any other folders needed for the pack to work into the server folder. If the modpack has a server pack, use this instead!
  6. Run the server again.

I've been assembling a list of mods for a server where a major theme is the dark being pitch black. I have a way of enforcing a resource pack that affects the min light--but shaders can bypass the light, and have separate brightness and emissive light parameters, so shader players have a massive advantage by being able to see in the dark-

I don't think anything like that exists, the closest I could find would be https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/selene but that isn't really what you want, I guess you could edit it with codes if you are in newer versions but that would require custom coding each and every villager. But if you just want to make custom trades you could use https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/custom-npcs

How to install mods in CurseForge App.
  1. Click + Create Custom Profile
  2. Name it, select the required Minecraft version, select the modloader & modloader version (usually the highest number), click Create.

This mod generates chests that have per-player loot meaning everyone gets a different inventory when they open the chests. Kind of like ender chests, but each one is different.
Is there a mod that would help me to make these chests unbreakable on the server?
