i was a big fan of yogscast as a kid and ive always wanted to play tekkit and ive got tekkit classic reloaded for 1.12.2 and ive got it all up and running fine, my one problem is that i wanted the texture pack they used but the sphax bd craft pack doesnt come with any of the modded textures (like sapphire armour/swords for example) and i was wondering if there was anywhere that had those textures

Would need to ask optifine about that. Its an issue on there end. Optifine is known to break a lot of mods to start with. So it is always hit and miss with it

Depends on what mods you want. 1.12.2 still has a few good mods, Same with 1.16.5. Then theres the new 1.18.2.

in the end its up too you. Can also make a custom modpack with the mods you want if you cant find a pack you like.

Try 'pipez'. You need to use a wrench on connections you want as "pull" nodes. This let's the mods code make it ultra efficient and low impact. EnderIO pipes had a nice gui and options but they were absolute hell for performance in quantity

Have seen this before, there is a fix tho you have to manually change a config in the pack.
bspkrsCore.cfg > Set allowUpdateCheck=true to false. Save then reboot the pack

Yes. You could also make the datapack yourself, by unzipping the minecraft jar (.minecraft/versions/1.xx.x/1.xx.x.jar) and looking at what the advancement files at data/minecraft/advancements/ are called, then mirroring that in your datapack, but with the json files consisting of only {}.
