Fabric is a mod loader system (Forge a different one) that mods are written for. Fabric is basically a mostly empty shell where mods need to provide their own code for anything fancy beyond what vanilla code provides. Forge is a heavily modified version of the MC code with lots more premade options for mod coders to hook into and utilize

Saying Fabric is better is subjective at best

Trying to find the best territory claim mod for a at least 1.16.5, 1.17+ or the latest Minecraft server. Tried "MineTerritory", but it has several issues. Not really a hidden gem, per se, but Chemical Exchange has a decently long quest line that teaches you how to use JEI to find out ways of getting your required quest items fast. It's most technology though.

Hello! me and 3 friends want to play a modpack together, but they dislike tech mods and automation, and really love some challenging content vs new mobs and maybe dimensions. Something with a "questline" would be cool but not mandatory. since i've not been following all the new packs that are coming out, could u guys suggest me some?

I'm looking for someone who has experience with Oh the Biomes You Go (BYG) biomes mod. Specifically, if I add BYG to a server game, will it over-write the player's builds on the original map? For example: will it put Alps where there are plains and destroy builds already there?

not many content 1.18 mods created or ported yet, it's extremely new and will take a few months to settle out. you can filter by tags authors may have put on their projects such as tech/energy. note that you can't filter between loader type there yet so you need to look and see on project pages if fabric or forge
