if your shader pack doesnt make it really dark when it's supposed to be then it prob wont be the horror your looking for but more of a RPG like mod since the creatures arent from the caves or the disturbed type horror

I think BetterEnd and BetterNether are somewhat outdated for the current modding era. This doesn't mean that I think they are bad mods, rather the opposite, but they are from a time when the modding community began to take a more "Vanilla Friendly" approach in terms of aesthetics and gameplay

I'd recommend mods such as:

• Enderscape (not available for 1.20.1, but I'll mention it anyway)
• Eldritch End
• Endless Biomes
• Unusual End
• Mofu's Better End
  And
• Jaden's Nether Expansion
• Luminous Nether

It may not be what you're looking for, but when I built in a modded world, I used to use "Create Copycats," which allowed me to place vertical slabs to which I could apply a custom block for each side, thus obtaining a different material for the outside and inside of the construction.

In case I didn't explain myself clearly, you can place slabs in a single space and give them different materials on each side. It is not necessary to use two spaces to have different materials, as the mod allows you to do it in a single block. Anyway, I hope I've been helpful 👌

I like how biomesoplenty does it, config file where you can do true/false . amazing. i can easily get rid of 30 biomes i dont want. but with terralith i gotta use Biome replacer hours of testing what type can u actually replace and making it at least somewhat nice with rarities so one biome isnt replacing 5 others which makes it too common. okay. anything but biome replacer, cheers

Hi, i want to start a survival world with my friends and i'm searching a good modpack, i've been testing some of the most "famous" modpacks like better minecraft, beyond depth and looking at different videos but can't find the right one. Some modpacks have too much things in them, adding too much biomes, blocks, mobs making the world overwhelmed with "decoration" ... I'm searching a modpack where there is new structures, new biomes, new mobs but just not too much (also if the modpack have voicechat or if we can had it it's even better but not a necessity) so if you guys have any suggestion of good modpacks i'll gladly take those. settings aren't stored in mods, they shouldn't change when updating them... unless you're talking about modpacks

ya, completely different thing lol, updating an entire modpack would change that, but not individual mods

xaero map settings reset after i backdated the mod cause it was conflicting with create, but its never done that before from updating

that was why i asked i only just realised no other settings have ever changed when updating mods 😅

ya all the keybinds and options changed in game are stored in the options.txt file in the instance folder, the mod specific settings are stored in the config folder

I need a longer term, more complex or challenging modpak thats still rewaridng and enjoyable.

My and my friends basically completed Ciscos Ultimate and Ciscos Dragonfyre in 2 weeks. Beat promiennce 2 in 2 weeks. its not like were trying to speedrun but it feels so easy and idk. we are looking for a new modpack so if anyone has any ideas please let me know
