RLCraft feels bland since the main thing to be concerned about is if you are spotted by a flying lizard- and if you are then you die. And the endgame is simply not dying to said lizards

Yes ik, backpacks can work with hoppers to filter items. So you would replace that drawer with a placed backpack that has a filter upgrade, then switch it to filter output items then put a hopper under it

So all the items should go into the backpack first, then u can switch the filter upgrade in the backpack to filter output items (items that leave the backpack, in this case empty buckets) which then would go into a hopper underneath it. Leaving the iron behind in the backpack. (Or the other way around if u want, just change the item in the filter upgrade)

I changed the texture of items in a mod, so I opened it with WinRAR, extracted it, changed the textures, then compressed it back into a .rar and changed the extension to .rar, but now it's giving me this error.

Hey I have been using Starter Kit by Serillim but, no one on the server really likes the shields. Is there a more customizable version? I'd like to be able to add items like the tinkers/botania books and a base camp preferably in a nice looking GUI. Forge 47.4.0 Minecraft 1.20.1

@tawdry walrus I suggest the modpack Exoria for a well crafted, guided tech focused and magic modpack.
Early game is a bit rough and has the Restrictions mod which prevent you from building most things outside, but it is overall an extremely enjoyable experience.

There is a game breaking bug when trying to launch it from the curseforge platform, so I suggest either exporting to GDLauncher or going to the mod author discord and finding the solution

I’m usually pretty into the tech modpacks, I use the standard tech mods: mekanism, AE2, thermal series, etc a lot of the time. I also enjoy mods like thaumcraft, draconic evolution (kind of complex in its own, I know), ice and fire, dimensional doors, etc.

Botania is not actually magic. Itis literally the dictionary example of a tech mod. It just looks magical.

I must have forgot to mention that Exoria is also quest focused. With many blocks recipes and dimensions locked behind quest progression similar to Sevtech

The magic in Exoria is mostly limited to two mods. Roots, and Astral Sorcery.

The quests themselves are clear, useful, and don’t tell to to make literally everything and obfuscate the goal.

I’ve been playing Minecraft for like, ~10 years now and I have never touched gregtech out of pure intimidation.

I’ve proven myself capable of learning and understanding (at least at a “make-functional” level) mods like nuclearcraft’s fission/fusion, a fair bit of AE2 automation, and planned to get into advanced rocketry but just never quite did in my last pack; (if that helps you understand my level of ability to research and learn) is GT as complex as I’ve made it seem to be, or does it just have long crafting recipes?

It’s usually just pack creators that make use of the overly long recipes to make it a lot more difficult but I’d consider this one to not be as bad as most other packs with GT in them

However a lot of recipes are changed to fit the skyblock aesthetic of course

Hey everyone! I just started using MCreator and had an idea for a solo mod project, a simple shop system focused on farming cactus and other farmable items.

I'm planning to create three custom blocks:

• Seller Block : Lets players sell items (e.g., 1 Cactus = 0.01 Emerald). The prices will be low to keep it balanced.

• Buyer Block : Players can buy items here, but at a much higher price (e.g., 1 Cactus = 2 Emeralds) to make the process slow and strategic.

• Bank Block : This will be used to deposit and withdraw emeralds. Since you can't hold a fraction of an emerald, the decimal part will be stored in the bank until it adds up to a full emerald.

The idea is to create a progression system without breaking game balance. I’m new to MCreator, so I’m not entirely sure how to implement all of this. If anyone has experience and is willing to help out, feel free to add me on Discord!

We use gameserver app to cross chat between discord and ark. When you load into our server, you get a prompt with our discord link that they need to join. If they don’t join, they risk being wiped by an admin, we will usually give them time and sent private messages in game or place a billboard outside their base with the link and once they did we will remove the billboard

Oh I see what you mean…we just leave it open for the public. The more the better. Set your rules, we have a rule that every member must tribe register on discord with their tribe, map and player name. This helps us monitor everyone on the server. If they don’t register on discord, they risk being wiped, if they leave the discord that’s our one rule for being wiped (unless they are grieving or stealing or duping)

Yeah you will have to learn some Zen-code but there is a wiki for CT on the parts that are important

Same with KubeJS. It also has a wiki for what the modules of it are and has examples on what you can use X thing for and how to make specific types of recipes
