What I mean is a mod that allows the user to change the directory structure for mods. So not just the standard /mods folder, but the ability to create subfolders like /mods/loot or /mods/generation, and for these mods to work just like the ones in the main /mods folder. This would allow for organizing mods into categories, and the client would be able to read them from different subdirectories, not just the main /mods folder.

I've Celestial Artifacts on, it makes things a lot harder (it adds curios that gives you a hard start), but you need to equip the Celestial scroll it gives you at the start to really play it (else it's just a curios mod, and has less curios than if you put the scroll on)
There's Terramity that is a great content mod, it doesn't add any dimensions, but it adds a few more ores, more structures, lot more mobs, armors, weapons (even guns), and a few bosses. (Requires curios)
Ice and fire is a famous one, and it doesn't add that much, making it pretty compatible with other mods (adds dragons, and more threatful mythical mobs)
Iron's Spell Books is a nice magic mod and adds a type of magic making, a few structures, a npc that spawn along villagers, and hostile mobs
MCA Reborn that overhauls villagers (you can have relationships with them, and modify villages more easily)
Minecolonies is another village overhaul mod, but that lets you create a village from scratch (unlike MCA, where you need to find a village first). You can create a colony in this one.

I am the type of player who needs a guide to progress. Goals like "Defeat [--] " aren't enough to keep me interested. Maybe I could keep up with hard mechanics as long as there's a guide or objective that tells me to do things (Main quest, side quest, etc...)
I'm okay with any version, not really put my mind into it. I love it fantasy-focused. For the complexity, I don't like the ones that make players need to do some so try-hard things just to achieve something, or maybe something enjoyable for the majority. I prefer solo play in this. Is there any mod that can spawn in fake players in a similar way to how chunk pregenerator generates chunks? Like a command that sets how many fake players will be spawned, how many chunks between them and then in what shape they are positioned(square/circle).

Check the wiki, the mod will create a scripts folder in the instance folder, u can use notepad to type up scripts and save as a .zs file, a simple recipe is easy to make, goes something like this:

Is there anything which would forbid structures to spawn too close to each other? Here Incendium's structure spawned near nether fortress cutting it in pieces. I'm already using sparse structures.
