It is a very linear gametype, but is fairly satisfying to me.
Though it has nothing to do with traditional magic mods, but 'magic like' mods and magictech. So no witchcraft.

What should I add to a modpack about exploring the world? I've decided to add many vanilla things for the Overworld Structures, Ocean, Nether, and End. I've also added biomes and different kinds of rivers, along with deeper oceans. So, I'm looking for a modpack that fulfills this list:

-a fully flushed out quest book (I like having goals to follow that I don't have to come up with)

-at least 150-200 mods (anything more is a bit much for my laptop to handle)

-a good variety of mods (including magic, mobs, dimensions, bosses) ((excluding most tech except for Mekanism because its the only one i really understand))

=i also adore the origins mods, so that would be ideal but not required

For a bit of context, my most played modpack on Curseforge besides a custom server one is the Cottage Witch: Recast pack by HeyKatu.

Right now i'm struggling with my datapack. I am trying to change default world generation, but it doesn't seems to have any effect on the game.
I have that oceans.json file with noise settings, but i have no idea on how to enable it in game.

I finally figured out how to make datapack to do stuff in game.
But now i have to add it somehow to forge, because it doesn't work if i just put it in datapacks folder in my modpack directory. When i launch mc, and press "open datapacks folder" button, it opens temp folder. Of course, being temporary, it disappears after game is closed, so i have to manually copy my datapack here after each game launch, which is sub optimal.

Someone needs to make this in 1.20.1 with no additional features Bru. That’s just how I’ve been playing my mc the past few days and it’s driven the diff from my mod pack to a completely stupid new level and I love it. I also play like I can’t dig grass or any block that requires a shovel with my hand aswell. The only thing I cannot get over with those “no tree punch” mods is that they allow crafting of a flint hatchet and I want no tools. Iron's spells and spellbooks is easy to use and has pretty generic an well rounded spells. It is a little hard to implement into a pure survival world though because the crafting and materials is kinda complex/rare

The main mods I'm running are Fungal infection:Spore. Epic fight, Create, Tinkers construct, and a wide array of decor/food mods

Does anyone have experience with mods like XP clumping, entity culling, Quark and the like?

Spore might be one of the laggiest mods ever but I’d recommend Clumps, ServerCore, ModernFix, FerriteCore, Embeddium(Client) and Entity Culling. Those are the only ones I can think of right now
