minecraft runs primarily on your CPU and having 6-10gbs of ram is generally the recommended amount regardless of modpack sizes.
As far as RPG elements, I might suggest Terrafirma Punk, though that is a pretty brutal modpack in terms of learning how to play

Ya there’s like extra realistic medieval packs but I’m not rly into them either, my favorite resource pack is whimscape (there’s also whimscape x fresh animations and whimscape leaves add-on) then there’s also falling leaves and cave dust mods… and of course shaders

Once again, I'm asking if there are mods out there for later versions that have a similar mechanics on their swords. I keep asking because somebody is bound to have one. ||(... and people rarely answer anyway. :/ )||

  • Swords with unique effects that vary wildly. With effects that give them an edge even if there are technically "better options".
  • Enhanced temporary forms that increase that gimmick's strength.
  • [Optional] All of which are not too powerful compared to each other. (or can be rebalanced.)

So I'm looking for a mod that specifically focuses on more active defenses for a base. I've looked at SecurityCraft, Villager Guards, K-turrets, etc. but wasn't able to find anything that really fit the bill.

I do have SecurityCraft enabled in my modpack, but was thinking of something alone the line of NPC defenders / guards or other active defenses since my modpack is heavily inundated with zombie apocalypse mods and Minecolonies guards tend to be a bit subpar.

Any ideas for what I should be looking for or should I attempt to create my own mod?

And yes, I have looked at the aptly named "Bodyguard" mod, but those only follow players around and are pretty weak in combat. Might have been better if they were compatible with TaCZ or VPB lol

  • "Players need to mine 64000 Cobblestone one at a time with a Wooden Pickaxe, all to affrd a single piece of Dirt." is certainly suffering, but hardly interesting.
  • "Players need to traverse the Nether with nothing but some sticks and single piece of TNT all to find a macguffin in a Piglin Fortress... that is now armed to the teeth with sentry guns." can certainly provide an interesting challenge if done correctly.
  • "Let's take one thing and make it into another thing... and another... and another... this may have a use, but you actually use to craft this thing... and that makes another... and so forth." AKA the Septuple Compressed Cobblestone method.

The sanity mod caught my eye for that reason. In bloodborne its very cool. In order to progress you have to discover new areas, not find a way to reach them. They were always there, you just werent crazy enough to see them yet
