I am looking for a well rounded weight mods for 1.18.2 that takes into account inventories inside of inventories (think backpacks in backpacks), and things like riding horses should also be taken into account. The closest thing I have found is a weight plugin but it requires me to run a mohist server to support plugins and mods at the same time which id prefer not to do. It also doesn't account for horses or elytra. If such a mod doesn't exist does anyone know how feasable it would be to create one like this

You put it into your modfolder and then look up a world, and then it will search all of the mods in that folder and say which one contains the word

I'm sure im not the first person to ask this, but im trying to decide on a minecraft modpack that is a questbook centric modpack that has a ton of content related mostly to automation but a little bit in magic. The two i've seen come up again and again is divine journey 2 and gregtech: new horizons. I like the gregtech appeal of it being a challenge to even craft a crafting table but people online seem to say the grinding is almost impossible for a single player. I consider annoying grind for me to be waiting on something to take forever to smelt or have to spend 6 hours mining. I find using a ton of crafting recipes as a huge part of the joy of minecraft. Divine Journey 2 on the other hand seems to be a fair bit faster, cutting out a lot of the annoying grind which I like a lot but I heard that it has a really annoying exploration phase. I would love peoples opinons on if gregtech: new horizons is too grindy, if Divine Journey 2 is too exploration based and/or if I am barking up the wrong modpack tree.

It generally depends on how fixable the issue is. Some are as easy as changing the mixin injection target, while others need very specific patches to work. For example, Bewitchment was targetting a method that forge removes completely, so we had to come up with a substitute ourselves.

From what I am gathering, Sinytra should be able to be used with any fabric mod, some might break but the issues are fixable. It seems like you could ask around their community 🤷

Hey guys, I've never done any modding for minecraft, but a friend came to me and asked if I knew a new game we could play together. I thought maybe there would be a modpack that kind of transforms minecraft into a game like this? We like open world survival craft so minecraft seems like a good starting place, but we are also are into the whole fantasy setting, so maybe something with more weapon options would be nice (not a fan of the whole crystal sword of the abyss mumbo jumbo, was more imagining like different types of a sword?) and maybe even some mideval armor? Obv. not all of these boxes can be checked all at once, but we arent picky. Any opinions are useful!

also i saw RL craft which seemed to kind of fit the criterion, but not sure about all the little intricacies. that might have TOO much new stuff

Well...I'd recommend you'd make it yourself.
You will most likely have issues with your modpack, but that's normal.
For medieval armor & weapons I'd recommend Epic Knights, if the modpack is 1.20.1, you should also add the addon mods.
Also, I recommend Better Combat.

Theres plenty of mods for zoom out there, if you go to your curseforge instance and you go to the section where you can add mods, and you just search for zoom you can see allot of mods that might suit you.
