Does a mod/modpack idea exist. My best example for what I’m thinking of would be the Twilight mod.

So what I’m thinking of is that there’s a completely custom/randomly generated world with custom structures. Each structure will have a requirement before you can enter. Like a specific quest item.

Basically there will be about 3 big quests. One for each dimension. And you can’t leave the dimension because it would automatically reset your quests that you had in that dimension.

Additionally there will be side quests that you have to complete. And some quests require you to be a specific level.

In addition there would be a skill tree that would require a lot of grinding and would make traveling, combat, etc. much easier for quests.

You would have to find wandering traders in order to start a big quest in either of the dimensions. Wandering traders will be much rarer to find due to this.

Each structure will have its own puzzles ranging in difficulty. And just because a structure looks the same as another. Doesn’t mean it has the same puzzles.

Additionally there will be custom armors and tools based off bosses you fight, quests you complete, etc.. they would however be uncraftable except for a selected few.

And I think there should be a main quest that’s excruciatingly long but is only accessible after you complete the three big quests.

of course there are plenty of shaders built to run very well, but you can also go in the shader settings to lower them, like shadowmap resolution, shadow distance or select one of the presets already built in the settings page of the shader

Alternatively, you can also use a mod such as Block Swap (both) to swap any portal block to air via its config, and if you don’t want people wasting eyes of ender you can even use a mod such as Item Obliterator (both) to disable its interactions or remove the item entirely

Its still a lan based mod, just uses other options. Local area networks or lan for short, wasnt never meant to be on the internet. even if its just temp. Need to ask yourself when you use these sorts of mods. "How are they bypassing my routers firewall to allow a normally closed port access to the internet"

Theres also they use a public domain, what happens if they loose that domain and not tell anyone, all your info is going who knows where. Not sure about you, But I would rather know what im connecting too, not blindly trust a mod written in java to do it for me

I'm sure some of you are familiar with the better than adventure mod for Minecraft beta 1.7.3. it's really inspired me to create a mod pack in a similar vein for Minecraft release 1.8, which is my absolute favorite release version. I want to create a vanilla plus modpack for it that I can sink hundreds of hours into. Not looking to change Minecraft's essential components, just upgrade and enhance them

For the end just go with Endergetic expansion, Unusual end, and Alex's mobs

if you really want an out of vanilla experience you can try OTBYG

you can do all this with redstone fuses and triggers in vanilla as far as the fuses are concerned as for observer detection though depends on the mod that uses that.
