I know of a few nice worldgen mods, including Terralith, Terraforged, and Tectonic. Terralith is pretty heavy, modifying a lot more. Tectonic is very pretty and the nearest to vanilla of the three (i especially love hte lantern caves and the mountains of tectonic. the caves can run through entire mountain ranges.)

I believe the base config setting for that is in the ftb essentials mod. It can be modified by adding a homes amount to the basic rank everyone gets, or to higher tier ranks only if that's what you want

I could, but I'm hoping to be able to do it more quickly cause copying the files over takes quite a bit of time. I tried using Multiworld (Forge) 1.4.1 but it has a lot of issues, namely no copying worlds and completely breaking after a couple usages so i'm trying to find a better alternative. Got the idea from bigger servers running events like Hypixel, if I can figure out what plugins they use I might be able to find ports hopefully.

I always prefer fabric though, and with iris + sodium you’ll get a very optimised and visually pleasing experience

i use it all the time. not sketchy, and its not dangerous. i dont know who spread this misconception, but its a really good mod imo. the only thing that might be sketchy is the auto updates, and now it asks you if you want auto updates when you launch the game so yeah. ive also never had mod conflicts, but i dont use the most mainstream mods

Tbh these are the only 2 vanilla+ ones I’ve played. Mine’s closer to vanilla, bmc has more of a modded feel, but is still good fun and both don’t go into RPG/Tech stuff. If you google them, Valhelsia modpacks are good too, but they generally dabble in a bit of tech (tho only a little)

Since recently, the community has seriously come back to 1.12.2 and made some great updates/new mods that seriously compete with rubidium/embeddium in terms of compatibility and results.

Especially for vanilla+, newer versions are better

Fabric 1.19/1.20 are the best versions for vanilla+ atm, older versions are more for niche, heavily focused experiences, which newer packs still offer in most categories
