I personally prefer Enchancement, because the Enchantments it adds revamp PvP entirely, but Enchantry seems like a cool enchantment table rework. I may check it out at some point.

There are plenty of combat enchantment mods which you could integrate with Enchantry, or you could do what I did with my modpack and revamp combat entirely through a custom SIHYWTCAMC config

I just feel the 1 enchantment thing’s a bit stale and makes some entirely irrelevant

I also think Biome Makeover’s Altar is a pretty fun twist - vanilla enchanting, but the altar lets you upgrade one enchant to a higher level than vanilla at the cost of receiving a random curse (of which they’ve added many new ones)

But if you want more interesting pvp, I highly recommend looking at Armor Tweaks, you can configure the formula for armor defence and protection enchants to change the scaling and can configure explosion damage

How to get started with shaders

Playing with a shaders mod like Oculus, Iris, or others and want more flair to your world? Don’t know what shader to pick from or where to look? try looking on Shaderlabs or the customization tab on the CurseForge site.

To get started using shaders:

1. Download the shader mod and its requirements for the mod loader you’re using and run the game at least once to generate the shaderpacks folder
2. Download the shader you want from either the CurseForge site or Shaderlabs (linked above)
3. In the CurseForge app, right-click the modpack profile icon OR click the button in the modpack profile
4. Click Open Folder
5. Open the shaderpacks folder and place the shader file you downloaded in there
6. Select the shader file in the in-game shaders menu and wait for it to load (if it needs to)
7. Play!

I remember a mod for Fabric that makes switching various menus (ESC, Settings, Hotkeys, probably the inventory opening/closing, etc.) in Minecraft more smoother by fading them in and out. I googled a bit for smooth/menu keywords but couldn't find anything because I have less IQ than toilet paper. looking for help with that.

when you make a structure in mc one of the options is to make sure its sitting on solid ground, rather than floating. instead of actually looking for solid ground (which would be rather performance intensive) mc makes solid ground and hope it doesnt look bad.

I think that always depends on what kind of mod pack you wan't to make, but in almost every case I think the usual optimization mods are a good idea, so mainly Rubidium, but a generous selection from this list doesn't hurt of cause.
I am also a fan of ToastControl, Craft slabs back into blocks, FlickerFix, Polymorph, Name Tag Tweaks, Spiders 2.0/Nyf's Spiders, Clear Despawn, Chat Heads, Craftable Horse Armour & Saddle and BetterF3 in almost any pack.
If you plan to add mods that add a lot of new items to the game, as mentioned by others, additional inventory space, be it a backpack or something else, is probably a good idea too.
