Essential mod is closed source and uses a protocol that was designed for phones. It will try to punch a hole in your routers firewall (which is bad for security), if it cant do that it will try to connect to 1 of a few remote servers to connect you and who ever your playing with.

I would just recommend trying to do it yourself. If I recall correctly, structures can also be added by datapacks, which are much simpler, so you could try to make it yourself.

there is a progressive difficulty mod, that after set amount of time (configurable im pretty sure) will increase the difficulty, giving mobs more health, making them stronger, giving them armor, and so on, it also adds "heart crystals" similar to paraglider mod and zelda games(which the paraglider mod is based on) and those heart crystalsbump up your max health by one heart each. ill search for it

Depends on what causes that. Usually Sodium/its Forge port Rubidium give a significant performance boost. There are also a lot of other optimization mods, some small, some bigger, like Roadrunner/Lithium/Canary, AI Improvements, Starlight, Ferrit Core, Modernfix, Entity Culling, ImmediatelyFast, AI Reducer and probably more. You could look at some mod packs and see what they include to improve performance.

Essential mod is closed source and uses a protocol that was designed for phones. It will try to punch a hole in your routers firewall (which is bad for security), if it cant do that it will try to connect to 1 of a few remote servers to connect you and who ever your playing with.

The mod on cf also isnt the actual mod, its an installer, that installs an installer that installs the mod.

Heya, I really want to learn modded minecraft as there are a bunch of expert packs that I just want to play cause they look really cool. I've tried FTB University but honestly I didn't like it that much plus it hasnt been updated in years. (idk if that matters yet but still). So my question. Hello, I was wondering if anyone knows a mod that fixes the problem of the tooltip textbox being cut off?
1.19.2 forge modloader, playing in windows mode rather than full screen (as otherwise I get no frames)
I'm cool with a mod that either fixes the problem however or even lets you scroll through the text, don't particularly care what.
Downloaded one with around 2k downloads that was recommended to me and I regretted it, seems like it has a memory leak problem or idk what as it ruined my frames. Removing it fixes it back to how it was beforehand, but now I'm stuck with the same issue as before

If you just want a small selection of mods, I would recommend to just put some mods together yourself. Maybe put some essentials in there like Sodium/Rubidium, some QoL mods and then just filter on CurseForge for Mob-mods and ... oh, there is no building block category ... maybe Cosmetic? The only building block mod I can think of on top of my head is Abscent by Design.

If you really want a pre-build mod pack, maybe Crucial 2 or New Game would fit? Or just browse deeper in the Vanilla+ category, even though a lot of mod packs there kind of don't belong there imo.

That depends entirely on the individual mod and the author of it. If he wants to spend time on it he will. Some might be activly in the process others not. If not, often there will be someone who makes a replacement for it, like Canary is for Roadrunner.
But there are also only so many things that are unoptimal and can be optimized and some mods might be discontinued because Mojang fixed it themselfes or another mod integrated that feature itself.

What mods are there that optimize the hell out of the game? I am talking whatever improves my FPS even by the slightest bit.

(for context, playing a singleplayer survival world with smooth lighting off and 10 chunks render distance results in me getting 0-2 fps. And don't even mention reducing the render distance. Have any of you ever played on 2 chunks?)
