pyrotech/tough as nails(with serene seasons)/hardcore darkness makes caves and nighttime harder to see/hunger overhaul makes food give way less food bars/spice of life reduces food values if u continuously eat the same food/zombie awareness makes some mobs target u from far away/maybe betterwithmods (would increase the time you need for early game progression)

Ayo so i installed this mod for Minecraft 1.18.2 called "More Commands". And half the commands that should've been added, are straight up not there for me. The main thing i need is for Coral in Minecraft to not die, as i have a texture pack that makes coral looks like colord bricks, and i need those bricks for building. Is there a way to make this work, or a different mod i can use?

plus, they're colored, like red coral. there's no such thing as "red dead coral" blocks.

Then edit it...? It doesn't matter if it's yours or not, it's on your computer you can edit it however you want.

It's literally open the coral block state json and copy the texture reference for living coral to dead coral, they now look the same.

The other option that makes sense is to just find a mod to make your own blocks and put textures on them instead of whatever it is you are trying to do.

Probably? Theres 'findme' mod that you can press a key while hovering over item (JEI tab compatible) and it will mark chests with it. only things in the word tho maybe? Idk dont have shulkers yet (gotta configue the range tho, its pretty pitiful from the get go)

Hey, I'm looking for a specific mod I played with at one point. I believe it would have been around the time of 1.12, but I could be wrong about that; it may have been earlier, but certainly not later as I remember the Streams mod being used as well. It was a mod that added new crops/cooked items, similar to Pam's, but I remember that some of the crops had to be planted in the water and some needed a little trellis thing on the farmland in order to grow. I THINK it also had a book that kept track of how many crops you had gotten, but that could have been another mod as it was on a modpack for a server. I believe it was for Forge, as I think we also had Pam's on the server at the same time.

If anyone can help me figure out what mod this was, I would greatly appreciate it!

The closest thing I can think of would be that mod that makes meshes for things that are further away, I believe it's called Distant Horizons. Can't remember if it's for Fabric or Forge but I know it exists somewhere lmao

@twin needle That changes the starting gamemode for anyone joining in to my knowledge. If you are already in the game aka the host the gamemode part does nothing. I tested it a moment ago, when I selected creative I stayed in survival.

I know one but it supports 1.13 and above apparently, if anyone also knows how to modify version support files that could also help, it's way easier on fabric tbh, i tried mofifying the version range and that still didn't work on the mod that I found (Shulker-ception)

Just modifying the version range will just result in a file that is useless. Mods need rewrites of code between versions because often there are massive changes between versions. The only reason doing so works are between versions where he code miraculously is the same.

1.12.2 feels clunky when doing stuff such as sneaking, activating the elytra or opening a shulker box, the fps is good there's no problem with that, it's just that the animations feel super clunky

1st download what version of optifine you want depending of what minecraft version u have, then click the 3 dots in your profiles to locate folder, get in that folder and click mods, paste the optifine you download inside that mod. @sage tide

turns out that's wrong for 2 reasons:

  1. That person really existed (who picks the username "people" anyways?!)
