Hey All, so I started throwing together my own modpack for 1.19. I put it together through the curse forge client, which I thought would only show mods for version 1.19. However when I got around to launching the game, a bunch of the data packs failed to validate, with the reason of the mods being for an older release. I am very confused how this is possible, as in the curse forge client they all say they are for 1.19.

You can update the mod loader within the same game version in the CurseForge app by following these steps!

1. Click on the modpack profile you are working with.
2. Click on the button next to the play button.
3. Click on the Profile Options button.
4. Select the mod loader version you want from the dropdown.
5. Play!

If you need to update to a new game version, a new profile is required.

So I had curseforge previously and I had minecraft on it and I couldn't play because whenever it loaded it and I chose my account it would flash "Loading" and then returned back to the account select page never opening up minecraft. In an attempt to fix this quick and easy I re-downloaded curseforge, but now it no longer has minecraft and when I try to scan for a game it doesn't find minecraft.

How to add/remove mods in a modpack.

1. Click on the picture of the modpack.
2. Click the Add More Content button, IF this button is not there, see below before continuing.
3. Find the Mods, Resource Packs or Maps you wish to Install and click Install on them.
4. Wait for all the required mods to be downloaded.
5. Start the modpack.

How to Enable/Disable content management for modpacks.

1. Click on the picture of the modpack.
2. Click on the button next to the Play button.
3. Click on Profile Options.
4. Check the Allow content management for this profile option if you want to edit the content of the modpack, uncheck it to disable.

NOTE: The Allow content management for this profile option is what allows you to Delete, Disable, Update or Install any Mods, Resource Packs or Maps managed by CurseForge. It must be on to modify any of them! (Currently)

Serverpacks are special files uploaded alongside an existing project file. If the main file is rejected the server pack is also rejected.

You require an already uploaded export file to upload a server pack!

1. Make the server pack by zipping up the required files by selecting the required folders & files. It should include the config and mod folders at a minimum, plus anything else you specifically required to run the server. Start/Run/Setup scripts are optional. Don't include modloader files or the minecraft server jar.
2. Go to the Files tab on the project.
3. Click the name of the file you wish to upload the server pack to. The pack and server should match pack versions.
4. Click Upload Additional File.
5. Fill out the form.

At any date I'm gonna become a skeleton irl with how absurdly slow CurseForge client launcher thing is when searching a mod and it taking an eternity for the bar to load, same for when opening a mod page in it also taking forever and sometimes the bar finishes and takes another few minutes and then the mod description...
The mod screenshots SOMEHOW open in less than a second, making no sense for me. Otherwise, it works fine, just excruciatingly slower than a turtle without legs.

I've been using cursed forge for minecraft for a while, and all of a sudden I can't get cursed forge to launch properly. Right at launch it says that its crashed- and my only option are to try a relaunch, or close. I've tried launching though overwolf, launching straight from cursed forge, and reinstalling both overwolf and cursed forge. It's been like this for a couple of moths and I'm not sure how to trouble shoot the problem.

It's just opening it like any other application in Windows.
When you installed it you should have either gotten a desktop shortcut, or you can go to start>search and look for CurseForge

You can even set that Overwolf will close automatically when you close CurseForge(but then you won't get automatic updates)

How to add/remove mods in a modpack.

1. Click on the picture of the modpack.
2. Click the Add More Content button, IF this button is not there, see below before continuing.
3. Find the Mods, Resource Packs or Maps you wish to Install and click Install on them.
4. Wait for all the required mods to be downloaded.
5. Start the modpack.

How to Enable/Disable content management for modpacks.

1. Click on the picture of the modpack.
2. Click on the button next to the Play button.
3. Click on Profile Options.
4. Check the Allow content management for this profile option if you want to edit the content of the modpack, uncheck it to disable.

CurseForge App and site do not share the same requirements! You can find things on the site but this does not mean it will be in the app!
For a mod to show up in the app:

• Projects MUST have a file marked as RELEASE or BETA
• Projects MUST be APPROVED
• Projects MUST have a file marked for the GAME VERSION SELECTED/LOADED
• Projects CAN'T be EXPERIMENTAL
• Projects CAN'T be ABANDONED

Files can take a while to show up in the app. If your files still have not shown up either your project is new and you have yet to mark a file as Release/Beta or there is issues with the sync system making it slow.

There are two ways to share a modpack you've made with others...

Export and Share - For Friends to Small Groups.

1. Click the Icon for the modpack.
2. Click the button next to play.
3. Click Export.
4. Select the files that should be included.
5. Send the zip to the people that want it! They can follow the instructions in !mc-installpack to install the pack!

Upload to Curseforge - For Public Release to Everyone.

This options will make your pack public to EVERYONE, it comes with extra requirements and will take some effort to set up.

1. Go to here: https://www.curseforge.com/project/432/4471/create
2. Fill out the information with a proper description of the pack. This should allow anyone to understand what the pack is.
3. Click the Icon for the modpack in the CurseForge app.
4. Click the button next to play.
5. Click Export.
6. Select the files that should be included.
7. Open your Project you made on the CurseForge site and Upload the file you just made.
8. Wait for Moderation & Sync so it can show up in the client! (See !sync for limitations)

The complaint was my summary was too short. When I fix it and make it longer it gets reverted and never gets looked at.
