can somebody explain me please how i can update CurseForge from 36.1.0 to 36.2.0? I have downloaded the installer from https://files.minecraftforge.net/net/minecraftforge/forge/
already (i got this link from opened Minecraft, Mods menu and then the there shown Forge-36.1.0 line). I installed it and opened CurseForge, but nothing changed. I even reinstalled Forge, but nothing changed either.

How to add/remove mods in a modpack.

1. Click on the picture of the modpack.
2. Click the Add More Content button, IF this button is not there, see below before continuing.
3. Find the Mods, Resource Packs or Maps you wish to Install and click Install on them.
4. Wait for all the required mods to be downloaded.
5. Start the modpack.

How to Enable/Disable content management for modpacks.

1. Click on the picture of the modpack.
2. Click on the button next to the Play button.

4. Check the Allow content management for this profile option if you want to edit the content of the modpack, uncheck it to disable.

NOTE: The Allow content management for this profile option is what allows you to Delete, Disable, Update or Install any Mods, Resource Packs or Maps managed by CurseForge. It must be on to modify any of them! (Currently)

WebClient errors are from networking issues to your computer. You can try a few things to fix it:

1. Restart the computer.
2. Restart your router/modem.
3. Try another internet source like a hotspot, wired connection or moving closer to the WiFi.
4. Pause/Stop other things using the internet. (Streams, music, etc)
5. If this still doesn't work, try again in an hour and hope your connection is stable.

hey, i asked this questions in the forum page on curseforge but i dont know how active it is so ill ask here aswell

Whenever i boot up my mods on curseforge, after around 30 minutes to maybe an hour, my computer bluescreens with kernal security Check Failure. in the past in bluescreened with DSP Watchdog. It may still happen but Kernal was the most recent. I've tried many Kernal fixes such as updating my computer n Nvidia, doing a device memory scan, and others found commonly on sites. If anyone has any guess on why this is happening and how to fix it, please let me know. I can give more details if needed.

Hi, tryna load a modpack. was working fine yesterday, but today when I click the green PLAY button on that packs relative mc launcher, the loading bar goes halfway and then cuts off and disappears. The pack doesnt launch. Vanilla loads fine. Just any packs wont get past the green play button.

Is it normal that the curse app downloads random "fabric" mods to my Forge modpack ?

The random fabric mods are authors not tagging their mods correctly. Have to tell the authors of those mods to fix their fabric mod. As for the not showing up how did you install the mods? With the app OR from the site?

I install the mods from the site. I don't understand the mods in my pack are Forge, why would the application download the fabric mods without my permission ?

Use the app to install your mods, this will help then show up better as the app doesn’t always like copy and pasted mods.

Double check the mods and make sure they are in fact forge, some authors of fabric mods sometimes fail to set the mod to fabric mod loader.

hey guys i tried clipping with nvidia overlay and everytime i use forge 1.12.2 the nvidia overlay wont work and will alt tab me out from the previous one. and if i use 1.12.2 normal mc the nvidia overlay will work ive test this with fabric 1.17 and other normal mc installation it works but not for the 1.12.2 forge

and everytime i alttab for a second my mc will freeze and black screen ( only for forge )

Hi! I'm trying to install Optifine by double clicking its .jar. I'm doing this to use OptiForge which is a .jar that goes into the mod folder of an instance. But I can't install optifine preview because C:Users\Username\curseforge\minecraft is empty. Is this because I had minecraft already installed somewhere else in my PC and I chose that instead of installing minecraft through curseforge? I assume there has to be a 1.17.1 inside of a install folder like this: C:\Users\Username\curseforge\minecraft\install

the method optiforge asks people to use which is an unusual method compared to the normal way with curseforge app(putting optifine alongside optiforge in mods folder) does not work for curseforge app, the optifine installer will possibly work for the regular minecraft launcher with forge. it's a really janky way round it(using the optifine vanilla install but then using forge on the side of it) that I don't even know if it works due to the incompatibility even with that launcher with forge 1.17.1
optiforge probably can't do the usual method of putting both in mods folder till optifine is fully compatible with forge I would assume, so with curseforge app it is not possible yet to use optifine with forge 1.17.1

Are you alt-tabbing in and out of a fullscreen instance of the game? I had a similar issue and taking it from fullscreen borderless to fullscreen windowed (F11) fixed that particular issue (note, this just apples to the alt-tab freezing one)

1. Restart the computer.

5. If this still doesn't work, try again in an hour and hope your connection is stable.

Export and Share - For Friends to Small Groups.

Upload to Curseforge - For Public Release to Everyone.

This options will make your pack public to EVERYONE, it comes with extra requirements and will take some effort to set up.

2. Fill out the information with a proper description of the pack. This should allow anyone to understand what the pack is.
3. Click the Icon for the modpack in the CurseForge app.

I can download the mod from there, but the tutorial I followed for downloading it in the first place said to use regular Minecraft Forge and use one of the trusted sites, like Curse Forge, to download the java file

I can use the CF app just fine, it just conflicts with the setup I've been through so far (Installing Forge, setting up the version of Forge on my Minecraft launcher etc)

Dont click the orange install button. Click on the files tab > then click on the files name then the download button. Otherwise its almost the same process in the app. Just click custom profile > give it a name, set the mc version and the modloader.
