Sync and your Project.

CurseForge App and site do not share the same requirements! You can find things on the site but this does not mean it will be in the app!
For a mod to show up in the app:

  • Projects MUST have a file marked as RELEASE release or BETA beta
  • Projects MUST be APPROVED
  • Projects MUST have a file marked for the GAME VERSION SELECTED/LOADED
  • Projects CAN'T be EXPERIMENTAL
  • Projects CAN'T be ABANDONED

Files can take a while to show up in the app. If your files still have not shown up either your project is new and you have yet to mark a file as Release/Beta or there is issues with the sync system making it slow.

Hey my newest mod on Curseforge is being made now, but I've noticed a really weird visual bug, I've got all my fonts set the same and my titles are all Bold with Underline and Font Size 18 but for some reason, halfway down the page it gets tiny for no reason.

  • Upload the zip once complete and no more mods show in the overrides/mods folder.

Forge = Minecraft Forge, This is a modloader often just called "Forge".
Fabric = Fabric MC, this is another modloader, just called "Fabric".
CurseForge = A Website/App that has content for games.
Mods = Individual mod files.
Modpacks = Multiple mods put into the mods folder or downloaded from CurseForge.

These are not Interchangeable! Please use the correct terms as it allows us to help you faster!

Forge keeps crashing with "An unexpected error has occured and the game had crashed: Exit Code 0" whenever I try to load a 1.7.10 modpack. Java is full updated and i can load it up in the normal minecraft launcher, but when i try to launch thru curseforge for a modpack it keeps crashing. Any fixes? Like I can run 1.7.10 forge through normal minecraft but when I try to do it through curseforge or a 1.7.10 modpack it gives me that error.

-Go to C:\ drive. Make a new folder. Name it Curseforge.

If Minecraft is not installed in CurseForge App:

Hey hope I'm in the right channel, I'm having an issue with projects getting rejected due to "Found non-Fabric file WorldEdit 7.2.6 (Forge/Fabric for MC 1.17.1)(3433990) from project WorldEdit(225608) in Fabric modpack Server Pack(3437171)" ... as can be seen by the link the modauthor only provides one file which works on BOTH Fabric and Forge so dunno why it's flagging 😦

The system doesn't handle shared files well due to them being very low use and the entire everything not set up the most ideal way.

They should upload two of the same file with an extra little edit to bypass the duplicate upload filter. Then mark one for forge and one for fabric.

In the mean time you can open a support ticket and see if they will manually approve the file.

I opened curseforge, the app loaded and got as far as the mc modpack list but crashed before any modpacks were shown, this happened without any attempts to load or open any modpacks. I have had a similar isssue before but it would usually eventually start to work after a few attempts. A potential cause for this issue could be that part of the files had been mistakenly moved into the bin. these files were of modpacks I had downloaded and were moved back into what I believe are the correct files. Is there a way to get Curseforge to load properly again? the current downloaded modpacks arent very important to me and if necessary to get Curseforge working, Im fine with deleting them. But without being able to load Curseforge I dont know how to delete the modpacks without messing about with the files too much.

WebClient errors are from networking issues to your computer. You can try a few things to fix it:

  1. Restart the computer.

Hello there folks, I am currently having issues with my Modpack, people can't download it due to the same issue bluekiller faces, the Mod in Question is Simple Magnets, the Mod can be found on the curseforge site but it can't be found in the launcher, i tried making a quick Modpack so people can play again but it gets rejected because there are jar files in there that are hosted on curse, is there a way to do anything about that?

WebClient errors are from networking issues to your computer. You can try a few things to fix it:

  1. Restart the computer.
  2. Restart your router/modem.
  3. Try another internet source like a hotspot, wired connection or moving closer to the WiFi.
  4. Pause/Stop other things using the internet. (Streams, music, etc)
  5. If this still doesn't work, try again in an hour and hope your connection is stable.

Somewhere on the page there is usually a method of contact. Look for one of the following things:

  • Issues tab like the image below.

Hey quick question. My modpack has added recipe files into mods such as better end forge infusion, and we are wondering if, when published to curseforge, if the customized jar file would save our changes, or if curseforge would even accept it. (As far as we can tell, crafttweaker does not support better end infusion, unless you all know of a way to save us trouble in the future.) Thanks.

How to add/remove mods in a modpack.
  1. Click on the picture of the modpack.
  2. Click the CFaddonsAdd More Content button, IF this button is not there, see below before continuing.
  3. Find the Mods, Resource Packs or Maps you wish to Install and click Install on them.
  4. Wait for all the required mods to be downloaded.
  5. Start the modpack.
How to Enable/Disable content management for modpacks.
  1. Click on the picture of the modpack.
  2. Click on the CFmenu button next to the Play button.
  3. Click on CFoptionsProfile Options.
  4. Check the Allow content management for this profile option if you want to edit the content of the modpack, uncheck it to disable.

NOTE: The Allow content management for this profile option is what allows you to Delete, Disable, Update or Install any Mods, Resource Packs or Maps managed by CurseForge. It must be on to modify any of them! (Currently)

Sync and your Project.

CurseForge App and site do not share the same requirements! You can find things on the site but this does not mean it will be in the app!
For a mod to show up in the app:

  • Projects MUST have a file marked as RELEASE release or BETA beta
  • Projects MUST be APPROVED
  • Projects MUST have a file marked for the GAME VERSION SELECTED/LOADED
  • Projects CAN'T be EXPERIMENTAL
  • Projects CAN'T be ABANDONED

Files can take a while to show up in the app. If your files still have not shown up either your project is new and you have yet to mark a file as Release/Beta or there is issues with the sync system making it slow.
