In this example I am trying to play the modpack better Minecraft 1.16. Also there is a youtuber playing this modpack too ( ChosenArchitect) In his description he says that the starting version of the modpack that he used is v 25.5 and I tried playing it and it crashed. I don't know what to do.

curseforge handles the jar for clients with the settings of your modpack

the server jar is something u need to provide

can you explain to me how to do that?

go to the website of forge and download the forge version u are using for your client
double click that jar and install the server files to a folder

copy all of your defaultconfigs/configs/mods/scripts to that server folder

now you have the most basic server files.

You can go even further by deleting client side only mods, provide a server icon, ... but thats optional

now zip everything and upload it as an additional file to your modpack on curseforge.

and also copy it to your server and launch it
