Wording is important!

Forge = Minecraft Forge, This is a modloader often just called "Forge".
Fabric = Fabric MC, this is another modloader, just called "Fabric".
CurseForge = A Website/App that has content for games.
Mods = Individual mod files.
Modpacks = Multiple mods put into the mods folder or downloaded from CurseForge.

These are not Interchangeable! Please use the correct terms as it allows us to help you faster!

in theory there is Sync but I wouldn't trust it in its current state 🙊
but for doing a backup of you interface, you can just do it manually by creating a copy of you Interface (the addons) and WTF (game and addon settings) folder

WebClient errors are from networking issues to your computer. You can try a few things to fix it:

So I'm using CurseForge to try and download Better Minecraft [Forge] and every time I try download it I get an error "Object reference not set to an instance of an object", this and the other Better Minecraft mods are the only ones I encounter this issue with. I've uninstalled and reinstalled curseforge, wiped my minecraft files, and restarted them and I still get this issue. Anything else that could be suggested?

so far - currently only the fabric mod system has updated to 1.17. yes you would need to create new client/server versions and yes you could only include 1.17 available mods, and yes would need to create new world.

Optifine is still a bit bugged out as it’s only on preview versions not at a full version for 1.17 due to the instability. I know for a fact that with fabric just now it crashes if you have mod menu mod which has pretty much become a core mod to have with fabric these days.

So either just not use it for now till it improves and becomes more stable for 1.17 or go to their discord for support but they will probably say the same as I just did that it’s still being worked on.

There are two ways to share a modpack you've made with others...

Export and Share - For Friends to Small Groups.

1. Click the Icon for the modpack.
2. Click the button next to play.
3. Click Export.
4. Select the files that should be included.
5. Send the zip to the people that want it! They can follow the instructions in !mc-installpack to install the pack!

Upload to Curseforge - For Public Release to Everyone.

This options will make your pack public to EVERYONE, it comes with extra requirements and will take some effort to set up.

1. Go to here: https://www.curseforge.com/project/432/4471/create
2. Fill out the information with a proper description of the pack. This should allow anyone to understand what the pack is.
3. Click the Icon for the modpack in the CurseForge app.
4. Click the button next to play.
5. Click Export.
6. Select the files that should be included.
7. Open your Project you made on the CurseForge site and Upload the file you just made.
8. Wait for Moderation & Sync so it can show up in the client! (See !sync for limitations)

Well since mohist is a hybrid of spigot/bukkit plugins and forge mods . It’s newish kind of thing and don’t think anyone here will be able to help with that . From what I can guess is that there is a lot of things clashing as it’s unusual for forge to have to deal with plugins alongside it also

mohist is only server side including with plugins and for client side mods look in your latest server log and search client side to highlight mods that only need to be used for clients only

Hayo, i updated a modpack i am working on/using to a new version, on the curseforge page it shows the new version under recent files (uploaded as release), but after a hour of waiting the curse client still does not see the new version, did i mess up or does it just take this long to appear on the clients?
