hello, I downloaded CurseForge and downloaded a mod pack, I got the error "curseforge cmd configuration may be causing issues" when I was opening it, I do not use cmd, I have powershell, I am aware of this, also cmd is installed but it still does not open, I could not do it please help

I uploaded a WoW addon for all WoW versions by using multiple TOC files (which works in the WoW client, all clients accept the addon as up-to-date). I uploaded a zip to Curseforge under a new version, tagging it with all three WoW versions. But addon update clients cant seem to find the addon update for any version except for retail...
Seems like a bug since I expect the addon to be available when tagging it and getting the curseforge approval after uploading the zip file right?
I am now trying a workaround where I replace the interface number of the main toc file and upload a different zip for each version, so curseforge hopefully recognizes this as a proper addon for that version...

WoW and CF do not support multi-tocs yet
@unborn basin When running my addon under all three WoW clients locally, everything worked fine and I did not have to tick "Load out of date addons", so i think wow actually does this now. Curseforge apparently doesn't, you're right
For now you will need to upload a different file with different interface# for every version
Try a pack with a diffrent mc version. Seems like your minecraft install is being corrupted durring download.
It's just weird behaviour that I indicate my addon is compatible with all three in the curseforge submission form, then it gets completely ignored for all versions except one of them
How can this be fixed? If I want to play a specific pack there has to be a way to do it. Can you help me with that? As I said some packs work, some don't.

I made a little script now that takes the interface num out of the version-specific toc and puts it into the main toc, then zips it for that version. Then upload a separate zip for each. Should work fine. If anyone wants the script let me know

Contents are the same in my case, except for interface num
ADDON.toc is just supposed to be a fallback toc used when the client does not find any version-specific toc. But curseforge seems to just take the interface num out of that and only publish for that version somehow

Yes, for now we do not support multitocs, this will be added in the near future

I think it's fine currently too, but it really shouldn't fail silently imo, as in: Upload a multi-toc addon, indicate on curseforge its compatible everything, it gets approved, then find out few days later by accident that people are not receiving it! Curseforge submission checker should notify me that it couldn't be approved, or not approved for certain versions

Yeah I uploaded two more zips now, each one having the InterfaceNum line replaced in ADDON.toc to indicate the interface num of that version - everything else stays the same - and tagged on curseforge only with that version, I'll tell you if it worked that way.
So I did some more testing. For me every modpack which I download and is based on 1.12.2 crashes, everyone that isn't, doesn't crash and works normally. How can I fix only this specific minecraft version not working? If I am not mistaken It can't be due to internet connection since only 1.12.2 is affected. And it can't be a single modpack since all modpacks on this version are affected equally. Oh and to reiterate I get code 0 upon launching the game from minecraft.
it's not the modpacks, it's that you are getting a corrupted minecraft jar for 1.12.2. unsure why you are though

My router, I can try that, but the issues only appears on a specific version of minecraft. If you think that works I will come back to you as soon as I tried it.

So I work on a Minecraft Modpack with a friend and his updates to the pack usually only take a couple minutes to be approved. I sent up a new zip last night to Curseforge around 10 PM ET, and its still under review. Is there any particular reason as to why mine is taking longer than normal?

Just gonna clear this up. For some reason, and I can't comprehend how, changing the folder where the instances are located from the existing one to a folder directly under the root drive (D:\CurseForge) made 1.12.2 modpacks (That I tested yet) not cause a code 0.

In relation to this, how do we know if our project requires manual approval? For some reason my update is still "under review" even though this is probably the ~20th update to the modpack I've done.
I'm genuinely struggling to find a solution to this.

Like i make a modpack, share it with some friends and then we want to add some more mods.
If i share a new export with these mods and then import it again it just creates a new profile instead off updating the previous one....

Information as to why things get flagged for manual review is not public knowledge. Simply put, if its not approved in an hour or 2 it got flagged.

Delete bop from your profile, reinstall it with the app, then export again.
Before you upload the export, open it and look in overrides/mods. If any mods are in there repeat this process.

For a mod to show up in the app:
- Projects MUST have a file marked as RELEASE or BETA
- Projects MUST be APPROVED
- Projects MUST have a file marked for the PROFILE VERSION USED
- Projects CAN'T be EXPERIMENTAL
- Projects CAN'T be ABANDON
Files can take a while to show up in the app. If your files still have not shown up either your project is new and you have yet to mark a file as Release/Beta or there is issues with the sync system making it slow.

Hi! Idk what to do. My modpack keeps getting rejected for "optifine". I slowly removed all additionnals mods and files that are not on curseforge. The only overrides I have now are the configs files.

WebClient errors are from networking issues to your computer. You can try a few things to fix it:
- Restart the computer.
- Restart your router/modem.
- Try another internet source like a hotspot, wired connection or moving closer to the WiFi.
- Pause/Stop other things using the internet. (Streams, music, etc)
- If this still doesn't work, try again in an hour and hope your connection is stable.

Ah, so just note that if you add mods to a pre-made pack it can/will cause issues. If any come up your on your own for fixing it. Best option is make a custom profile and add the mods that you want to it.

for some reason when I uploaded a modpack one file that needed to be included in the manifest.json wasn't automatically included. I updated the zip file. Will I need to wait another 1-3 days for approval?

I exported the project through curse and manually adding the project and file ID's into a new block in manifest.json

Awesome thank you! I'm now going down a rabbit trail of seeing other fixes
Check your logs and read any errors happening, it could be a specific mod causing the issue or it could be something else. Just look through the logs tho and look for anything that could lead to a mods name or referencing an item or anything of the sort within that error, which will give you some insight as to what it might be. Also try updating java if you havent and make sure you installed the 64 bit version (tho usually that would just crash on startup if that was the issue but still)

It means you have these files in the override - when you shouldn't.
If you exported via the CF app - it should of taken care of that - so there might be a bug here
wolf occasionally you must delete the mod and reinstall via the app to get it to link appropriately
Yep - that might be a result of some server identification issues - maybe a relaunch of the app can solve it

App java is only for install and the legacy launcher that was removed. If you want to change it, you need to do it every launch
You can't set global java versions as Forge specifically will throw a fit due to the restrictions it has on various game versions.

@unborn basin I can confirm that multi-toc addons are only actually distributed for all WoW versions right now if you submit a separate copy for each WoW version. I set the interface num in ADDON.toc to the particular WoW version so it gets accepted, but i dont know if it also gets accepted if I don't do that (e.g. leaving the retail inferface num in ADDON.toc, the BCC interface num in ADDON-BCC.toc and submitting that as a BCC tag)... Would make it easier since i can then upload the same zip file three times and tag it with each Wow version

As mentioned in DMs, we will no longer host any OreSpawn related mods, regardless of if the code was original or not. in the past months we received endless reports, tickets and DMs regarding an internal conflict between several members.

For a mod to show up in the app:
- Projects MUST have a file marked as RELEASE or BETA
- Projects MUST be APPROVED
- Projects MUST have a file marked for the PROFILE VERSION USED
- Projects CAN'T be EXPERIMENTAL
- Projects CAN'T be ABANDON

try restarting the app and updating again. also check your mod folder and make sure you dont somehow have 2 versions of the mod in there
