hello im new here. so last night my friend and i were working on deleting 2 folders and put in new which had our mods in it. he got it to work but mine frozen so i shut it down and restarted it. when i did that it now doesnt regonize my minecraft game and when it says choose a fold it wont let me choose anything but onedrive and it keeps giving me the error of only english letters and numbers are allowed which means its not recognizing / in the path. can someone please help me.. i am not tech savvy so it may take a bit of help if someone can help me

I would describe it as the CurseForge client deleting "base" mods when deleting mods that have a dependency to it. Such example for Minecraft would be:

1. Install JEI
2. Install Just Enough Resources (JER) <- Needs JEI
3. Delete JER from the profile -> also removes JEI

I haven't gotten the newest update yet to test whether or not this is still an issue

There are two ways to share a modpack you've made with others...

Export and Share - For Friends to Small Groups.

1. Click the Icon for the modpack.

3. Click Export.
4. Select the files that should be included.
5. Send the zip to the people that want it! They can follow the instructions in !mc-installpack to install the pack!

Upload to Curseforge - For Public Release to Everyone.

This options will make your pack public to EVERYONE, it comes with extra requirements and will take some effort to set up.

1. Go to here: https://www.curseforge.com/project/432/4471/create
2. Fill out the information with a proper description of the pack. This should allow anyone to understand what the pack is.
3. Click the Icon for the modpack in the CurseForge app.

I run all of my games through Steam, whether Steam supports it or not

this is the only one I haven't been able to get working

And I suspect it's because CurseForge installs directly as Overwolf in Windows and Steam can't see the extra args used to launch it

Hey mate, Figured it out for you

Select the overwolf app from the add game list, Once it's added right click the option it added in the steam list and open the properties window.
Add -launchapp cchhcaiapeikjbdbpfplgmpobbcdkdaphclbmkbj to the LAUNCH OPTIONS box and it will start CF instead of Overwolf.

If this doesn't work, open overwolf, go to the library tab and make a cursforge desktop shortcut if you don't have one. Then right click it to get the properties window and copy the arguments after the exe path into the same spot above.

It's an exploit in the game, having the mod doesn't make a new exploit. you could do the exact same thing in 100% vanilla totally unmodified client.

I don't see any issue with that existing nor is it the job of CF to prevent people from exploiting something you can do in the stock game that's unmodified.
