2. Fill out the information with a proper description of the pack. This should allow anyone to understand what the pack is.
3. Click the Icon for the modpack in the CurseForge app.
4. Click the button next to play.
5. Click Export.

7. Open your Project you made on the CurseForge site and Upload the file you just made.
8. Wait for Moderation & Sync so it can show up in the client! (See !sync for limitations)

Modpacks and custom profile, you have to go through CurseForge. You can still manage all mods manually, but I wouldn't recommend it.

4. Select the files that should be included.

Upload to Curseforge - For Public Release to Everyone.

This options will make your pack public to EVERYONE, it comes with extra requirements and will take some effort to set up.

1. Go to here: https://www.curseforge.com/project/432/4471/create
2. Fill out the information with a proper description of the pack. This should allow anyone to understand what the pack is.
3. Click the Icon for the modpack in the CurseForge app.
4. Click the button next to play.

Nvm, probably not there. Just wanted to let ya know the root of the problem occurred when i tried to update the modpack to 1.5.3b to 1.5.4b, but it kept auto cancelling itself so it wouldn't go anywhere. At the same time it says it is updated, but when i tried to play it, none of the mods got transferred. When i tried to revert back to 1.5.3b because everything was so buggy, the same thing happened where almost no mods got installed in, and when i tried to ''repair profile'' nothing happens at all. So i thought deleting it and downloading again would save the problem, but why the fuck does it also delete your back up worlds and profiles as well? Like that should be in a different folder. So yeah, here i am, with nothing at all because i wanted to update my precious world XD. Maybe look into that so other people don't experience the same tragedy

The error is due to a GLFW window not being created by an unsupported OpenGL error, generally indicating Optifine or another issue.

3. Click Change next to the Minecraft Modding Folder Option.
4. Select the folder named Install.
5. Delete it.
6. Restart CurseForge App.
7. It will ask to install MC again, do so.

NOTE: You will not lose any modpacks or worlds, These are saved in the Instances folder. DO NOT TOUCH THIS FOLDER OR YOU WILL LOSE EVERYTHING

guys, i tried reinstalling my server client and valhesia 3 again to make sure nothin was outdated. still getting the failed to synchronise the data registry error. i literally havent modified anything in the mod pack at all. all i tried was booting the server and connecting.

since this doesnt work should i try another mod pack? any RPG esque modpacks like valhesia out there?

Fabric modpacks or the use Fabric mods require you to install a mod called Jumploader.
Fabric mods do not work with Forge.
Forge mods do not work with Fabric.

Fabric mods should be marked with a Fabric Icon like this:

How to install mods in CurseForge App.

1. Click + Create Custom Profile
2. Name it, select the required Minecraft version, select the Forge version (usually the highest number), click Create.
3. Click the profile icon.
4. Click Add New Content
5. Search and install the desired mods.
6. Start the game!

How to install mods not on CurseForge.

1. Right click the profile picture or Open the profile and click the Icon next to the play button.
2. Click Open Folder.
3. Drag the mod(s) into the mods folder. (Note: Some mods will require others, to run. Make sure to read the instructions for the mod!)
4. Start the game!

I hope this is the right channel for this but I've been trying to install a mod I downloaded from the website but I have absolutely no idea how to do it right. I'm trying to install the Scape and Run mod. It runs on 1.12.2. I tried making a mods folder in the .minecraft folder then placing the .jar file in there but no dice. I tried making a 1.12.2 installation, running it, opening the resource packs folder and putting it in there but yet again it didn't work. Searching up the mod on the app doesn't yield results. I tried making my own modpack and adding the .jar file, clicking play, but it just took me to the minecraft launcher login page. What could I be doing wrong?

Wording is important!

Forge = Minecraft Forge, This is a modloader often just called "Forge".
CurseForge = A Website/App that has content for games.
Mods = Individual mod files.
Modpacks = Multiple mods put into the mods folder or downloaded from CurseForge.

I check the .minecraft files and look in versions. I see a file called "1.12.2-forge-14.23.5.2854" I try making my own installation with it. Load up minecraft. It's minecraft 1.12.2. No modpack to be seen.

There are two ways to share a modpack you've made with others...

Export and Share - For Friends to Small Groups.

1. Click the Icon for the modpack.
2. Click the button next to play.
3. Click Export.
4. Select the files that should be included.
5. Send the zip to the people that want it! They can follow the instructions in !mc-installpack to install the pack!

Upload to Curseforge - For Public Release to Everyone.

This options will make your pack public to EVERYONE, it comes with extra requirements and will take some effort to set up.

1. Go to here: https://www.curseforge.com/project/432/4471/create
2. Fill out the information with a proper description of the pack. This should allow anyone to understand what the pack is.
3. Click the Icon for the modpack in the CurseForge app.
4. Click the button next to play.
5. Click Export.
6. Select the files that should be included.
7. Open your Project you made on the CurseForge site and Upload the file you just made.
8. Wait for Moderation & Sync so it can show up in the client! (See !sync for limitations)

if you don't use curseforge you do.. When you installed curseforge it gave you a folder it installs everything to.

you click play in the curseforge launcher....

then click play again in the vanilla window that comes up
