Before you try to fix anything, make sure that minecraft is closed!
If minecraft is open then you will need to close it and try to launch again.

This is not a question, but about an hour ago I asked if there was any way to increase MC's RAM allocation without modifying the JVM args every time the native launcher starts up. Previously, I'd tried adding -Xmx16384 to curseforge's JVM arg list, but curseforge seemed to forcibly inject -Xmx12288 on its own. It seems that since I mentioned it, there was some kind of shadow update that made it so that if a memory maximum is specified in the JVM args, curseforge wouldn't overwrite it with its own. Maybe it was just some weird client-side bug, but if someone over here did indeed do something to fix that, I wanted to thank you!

Files can take a while to show up in the app. If your files still have not shown up either your project is new and you have yet to mark a file as Release or there is issues with the sync system making it slow.
